Reasonable value for money. Some staff very friendly. Rooms reasonably clean. Very dated. Common areas a bit rough. Walls are paper thin so can often be noisy. Door locks shoddy. Pathetic water pressure and heating system means you'll dread the morning shower. Most photos used to promote certain room types are a completely inaccurate reflection of what you've actually booked...

Dear BigMisio. Thank you for your review. I notice you have placed the same review on booking.com also. I have responded there to you as well. I am sorry to hear about the maintenance issues you have experienced. I have passed all of this onto the maintenance manager, in order he may sort these out. As with many hotels, we...

I needed to visit Birmingham and be at a meeting in the centre for 9:00am the following morning. To avoid the dreaded Birmingham rush our traffic which might have made me late after a 3 hour drive, I chose to stay the night before. I could have stayed in a hotel in the centre, but avoided this due to the...

Dear Mr_F999. I am so chuffed to read your wonderful review. Thank you so much. You seem to have captured the essence of what the Beeches is all about perfectly. We don't claim to be the most modern hotel, but our rates reflect this as you said, and we are very good value for money with fantastic staff to look...

Stayed at the beeches a couple of times now. Just for the odd night in a single room. It's clean and tidy but very small. The rooms used to have a wardrobe which is now the shower room. You don't have much room. On my last visit I was given 114 which on entry stank of paint. I couldn't handle...

Dear jasoncaunce. Thank you for your review. I am pleased to hear that reception room moved you straight away with no fuss. We do have a rolling program of refurbishment and I do apologise that that room was still not suitable for sales due to the fumes. For your information, we do also have many room types, from single bedded...

Reception lady very friendly and welcoming ! Long old trek up and down stairs to our rooms which may prove challenging for those less able. Room clean and comfortable if a little dated . Slept like a log last night which is unusual for me the first night in a hotel . Bed very comfortable. Shower was really good this...

Rooms out of the sixties, appalling noise insulation ( you can here your neighbours in the toilet) I was in a Superior room? Over priced bar menu, Marriott and Hilton are cheaper. Stayed here for location but I am happier to travel further than to stay again

Booked a room for two. Room very small with one 4ft bed, hardly a double, obviously cosy, but the room was too small for a full double bed or two singles. Warm and clean. Restaurant staff unfriendly but receptionists were pleasant and helpful. Stayed here because of location but if I needed to be in the same area again would...

Stayed here twice on conferences. Once I had a room in the newer part of the building and once in the old. Both were warm, clean and comfortable. I am vegan, but this did not phase the kitchen staff who served me some lovely meals that were the envy of my colleagues. Staff in the dining room, bar, reception and...

I stayed for one night here recently for a work conference. The hotel is located about 10 mins walk from Bournville train station and the village of Bournville is lovely.
