Having dropped our daughter off in Leicester, we had decided to book a hotel for the night before travelling back south the following day. We decided on this hotel after checking their website and trip advisor. We arrived to a busy pub and were greeted by a lovely young lady behind the bar who said our room was at the... More

We'd never been here before but we just called in for a drink and a bite to eat with the intention of moving on elsewhere. We never got there. What a revelation. Six real ales, all smaller artisan breweries and with tasters. Clean, pleasant light and airy decor and ambience. No frills, but fantastic beers and good food too with... More

Stayed with three friends. Rooms are pretty straightforward pub type rooms, nothing spectacular, but do the job. The pub itself however is a great place, great atmosphere and an excellent range of well kept ale and friendly staff. We didn't eat, but the menu looked great. 5 minute walk into Warwick town centre.

Stayed again, and for the first time ate in here in the evening. Food was excellent, thick pork chop (what I would call a 'proper' chop), with black pudding mash, cabbage and mustard cream sauce. Faultless. Crispy skin on the chop, tasty well seasoned mash, and nice sensible amount of sauce. 6 real ales on tap. Live music in the... More

Stayed here for one evening (2 adults/2children). Great location for visiting the Castle, only five-ten minute walk. We arrived early and they looked after our bag so that we were able to visit the castle without carrying it around with us. We were greeted warmly. After returning later in the day we checked into our room. Good spacious room. One... More

In Warwick for business, booked 2 nights at the Old Fourpenny. Located just off a main street through Warwick, the hotel is in a quiet residential neighborhood. Rooms are located in the back of the property with an onsite carpark. My room had 2 single (twin-sized) beds, quaint with a nicely tiled bathroom -- however the plumbing was a bit... More

Stayed at the Old Fourpenny Shop Hotel for one night with my family (one room, two adults and 2 children aged 9 and 11). The room was cosy, beds comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and looked after us during our stay. The hotel is a perfect location for visiting the Castle, as it... More
