This is what a guest house should be: a place where you're made to feel at home during your travels. Gary and Tina were very helpful in giving us advice in terms of how to make the most of our short stay, clearly because they wanted to rahter than just hastily going through the motions. We were warmly received from... More

Small en-suite room but perfectly suitable in terms of its cleanliness and functionality. Comfortable bed, tea making facilities, and TV. A 15 to 20 minute walk from the town centre: just the right distance to walk off a meal and a few drinks. The breakfast was also excellent, better than at most places we've stayed, and we've stayed at a... More

Tina insisted Gary take us to town the first day which was very unexpected, he gave directions to get back and as First Night was less than a mile from town along a straight main road there was no chance of getting lost. There was... More

My husband and I have just had our first stay at First Night Guest House and it won't be our last. Our room was spotless and the food excellent. Nothing was to much trouble for Gary and Tina, which made us feel at home. Also service with a smile. Thank you both. 😊

We stayed at the First Night Guest House for 2 nights. We were lucky to have the 'Garden Room' which has its own patio area. The room was on the small side but this was not a problem. It was spotlessly clean and had its own wet room. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was a small wardrobe, tea... More
