We visited The College Arms as a party of 3 adults and 2 children. We had a nice corner table and they seem child-friendly which is good. I had the sausage and mash which was REALLY nice, the mash being kinda mustardy. My Mum had the salmon which she liked a lot too. We came back for a pint a...

We dined here on a Wednesday night and called to ask if we could bring our 2 dogs. Ash was very welcoming and gave us the snug to ourselves! When we arrived, we thought how beautiful the building is from the outside and a real country pub feel! Inside we were warmly welcomed by all of the staff, and introduced...

Unprepossessing pub in rural location - bar uninviting, restaurant clinical and empty. Lacking in atmosphere or any hint of pubishness. However, the freshly prepared fish and chips, and a BLT best I have ever eaten made up for it. Barmaid tried really hard but in an empty pub it was just a bit of a let down - chef needs...

The pub is much improved and nicely , if a little sparsely, furnished. Nice welcome from the staff...we shared a cheese and ham baguette ..which came with a lovely salad and a very generous portion of excellent fries. Nice wine by the glass.. and not at all expensive. We will return!

Just stopped on a whim. Old pub that has received a facelift but not refurbished to within an inch of its original existence. A few locals at the bar and a some good beers on tap. The sandwiches looked interesting so we ordered. However were very surprised that they took so long to arrive. One member of the team was...

College Arms re-opened with new management in August 2016. A great selection of good beer, 'though served rather cold. Excellent soup, a wee bit pricey and rather a long delay in arriving....but never-the-less exceptional quality....perhaps such good food needs time!

We went to the college arms for Friday dinner, the place has just reopened and it felt a little chaotic (there were only 3 other tables) but things should settle down as they are open for longer. I had sausage and mash, Craig had steak and chips. Food was decent, we had a nice bottle of prosecco and the new...

Recently visited as we were pleased that a local restaurant had reopened, unfortunately it was awful, not only the inattentive and inexperienced/rude staff but the awful "brought in" food especially deserts.. tasteless. The clientele this place attracts is also awful.. up the price of beer to avoid this.. and serve decent food and you'll have a nice place to visit....

Stopped by for supper on Sunday evening after a long and tiring weekend. Serve Hook Norton beer. Place was fairly busy, we ordered twos pizzas and a vegetarian dish and sat back and enjoyed our ale, and sat, and sat! After half an hour I enquired where our meals were to be told they were on their way. I felt...

First time been here we understand this has been taken over by a new owner, so glad we didn't read trip advisor first as this place has improved so much compared to the comments and pictures of restaurant last shown, we both had a lovely evening meal with a very personal service at reasonable prices. The only criticism we could...
