Our hotel offers luxury accommodation in Stratford-upon-Avon, while crucially maintaining the charm, character and period features of the original building. The White Swan dates back to 1450, making it one of the oldest pubs in Stratford – and the front of the hotel is a cosy, traditional pub, continuing to serve outstanding cask ales and the best pub food in town. Our 41 four star guestrooms, marry traditional, original features with modern conveniences like iPod docks, flatscreen TVs and ensuite bathrooms. One thing not to miss on your visit to this historic Straford-upon-Avon pub is the antique wall painting in one of our front rooms. Commissioned by William Perrott, who owned the building in 1560, the special painting depicts the story of Tobias and the Angel - a subject doubly appropriate for a tavern of that time.

From the moment I booked everything was easy, I’d looked at reviews and pictures etc, however none of them did it justice. Hannah on the desk is a credit to the hotel, nothing was too much trouble, we arrived early and our room wasn’t ready so we went for a walk and some food, she then called to say our room was ready when we were. Check in was easy and when we walked into the room we were amazed, my jaw hit the floor when I saw it had the roll top bath I nearly cried. Everything was stunning, there was a slate that had Happy Birthday written in icing and a pile of goodies on it. We slept well, the room was warm, hotel was quiet, and this morning we enjoyed one of the best breakfasts ever. Not one fault from us, and even though all the staff must be worried about going into another lockdown they didn’t show it. Well done and thank you, especially Hannah.

This was our 7th visit here but our 1st in the Pandemic so of course we expected changes- housekeeping couldn't clean the room until you had been there 3 days so we requested some cleaning kit to do it ourselves and it was happily provided along with fresh towels and bottled water and refills for tea coffee and milk at reception. Only difference for breakfast was a requirement to pre-book it, apart from that it was excellent service as usual. The staff did everything they could to make our stay amazing - table only bar service like everywhere- Stephan and Thomas our bar waiters were lovely all week. Giorgia and Hannah on reception couldn't do enough to make our stay amazing and the lovely senior housekeeper Dhurata kept calling in on is to make sure we were ok as both my husband and me are disabled. We will definitely be back early next year- thank you for more fabulous memories and experiences

Dear janpridham1960, Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you were able to come and visit us for the 7th time, especially with things being so uncertain at the moment. The content of your review made me smile for several reasons. Firstly the very fact you chose to return time after time shows we are doing things right. Secondly, the fact that - even though we have had to make significant changes to the way we operate - you could still enjoy your visit, and rate the service from several key members of the team to be so good. We look forward to being able to welcome you back next year, where I hope that things are more settled. In the meantime, have a great festive period. Regards, Sol

We had a one night stay as a couple. Perfect location, immediately in town and right next to the main tourist attractions. Excellent service and reception, very warm and friendly welcome, prices have been reduced slightly due to the pandemic so it’s great value. Really nice room, large, comfy bed, large and well presented bathroom, big TV. Breakfast was included and was nothing short of a feast. They aren’t providing bath robes and slippers at the moment due to CVD but towels were really soft and you do get a feel of luxury for a very good price. All is CVD safe with one way systems in place, screens and hand sanitiser. Felt safe throughout.
