Newly refurbished to a very high standard , Billesley Manor is set in 11 acres of stunning parkland and manicured gardens, Billesley Manor Hotel and Spa is a stunning 16th century Elizabethan manor house. Located just 3 miles from Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, this historic property is steeped in history and charm. Once referenced in the Domesday Book, the grounds feature an 11th century church and an ornate topiary garden, which was planted 125 years ago to replicate a chess board.Bedrooms combine traditional character with 21st century luxuries, options include a variety within the manor house or Cedar barns. The Stuart Restaurants and Great Hall offer the perfect backdrop for dinner with oak panelling, original fireplaces, first class food and attentive service. The Spa has everything you need to unwind and keep fit, relax in the beauty rooms and take advantage of the extensive range of Decleor therapy. When you spend the night in Billesley, you are sleeping where several, significant historical events occurred. It was here that Shakespeare put ink to paper and wrote sonnet ‘As You Like It’

Came here to help with my wifes recovery and could not fault the room, the location the grounds or staff or food. The only issue was the fact that either someone purposefully put a whole evening meal against our room or a member of staff mistakenly added it to our room. Didn't realise until after we paid and asked for this to get sorted and told this was not possible until Monday. Sent an email with scanned highlighted details of the error but heard nothing since, poor communication.......!!! Cannot recommend this hotel until this issue is resolved which is a shame!

Dear HarrisonCq, Thank you for this lovely review and constructive feedback (which is being actioned), the team will be delighted when I share this with them, I am very disappointed that a single human error after such lovely feedback and what appears to have been a lovely stay with us means you can’t recommend, many of the team are new and many have been on furlough for almost 12 months and as such are learning and finding their feet and doing their best after being closed for so many months during this tough time for us all, That said, We still all hope to see you again very soon, Kindest Regards, Stephen and the TEAM at Billesley Manor

Had a lovely 2 night stay at this gorgeous hotel. Our room was immaculate, very tastefully furnished to a high standard overlooking beautiful gardens. Lovely swimming pool which we had to book due to covid. The restaurant and bar areas very comfortable and luxurious. Sadly the restaurant lets the hotel down, very unprofessional and understaffed, food badly cooked. Would love to return when the restaurant food standard has improved.

Cutting too many corners for a 4 star. Use the cheapest of cheap toilet paper, provided paper cups in room for tea making facilities Breakfast was basic, awful cheap sausages and bacon. Eggs over cooked on 2nd day too hash browns were nice 2nd night was £50 dearer but noone come in cleaned our room which was fair enough but we had no change of towels or top up our tea/coffee bits Staff so slow serving drinks from taking order to receiving but you get charged 10% for the pleasure and once we ended up going collecting ourself and another time had to go get my sugar as server had forgotten my request!! But saying that the cocktails were nice esp sitting outside in the sun looking at the lovely grounds Wish staff smiled more and just had more charm it was all very just doing my job. The grounds and hotel itself was beautiful as was the room but sadly 4 star service was not received

Dear Helen Thank you for this very constructive feedback which is gratefully received but very sorry you had need to share it, I am sorry you found some of our Covid processes a disappointment i.e. temporary paper cups and servicing of rooms to protect the team, We are working hard to improve all our touch points and already seeing good progress, Sincere apologies for the issues that arose as we reopen after many many months closed and team get up to speed and recruited due to Covid and Brexit challenges, Kindest Regards, Stephen

Great hotel, beautiful grounds, delicious food! Would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon! The spa treatments I had were excellent, and the cleanliness and attention to COVID requirements was very reassuring.
