#19 of 83 B&Bs / Inns in Stratford-upon-Avon
Travelers' Choice
This recently refurbished boutique hotel is housed in a 400 year old listed building in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Located opposite Shakespeare's school, among the ancient half-timbered buildings the town is famous for and only 2 minute's walk to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. This is THE place for a pre-theatre supper - local pianists play at 5.30pm daily and the atmosphere is great. The 12 funky en-suite bedrooms vary in size, cost and view. Try for a room at the front of the building for the perfect view. Great food is served all day, through till 10pm in this buzzy neighbourhood bistro with Afternoon Tea a particular favorite. Champagne Happy Hour is every Friday at 5pm and the bar is packed with a great, upmarket local crowd. The staff make the place and nothing is too much trouble.

My daughter and I recently stayed in The a at Tow house and were very disappointed. I’d seen the hotel on my last visit and decided to stay there next time On arrival the hotel was very quiet as the chef was self isolating so downstairs was shut. This alarmed me but we decided to stay as it was late We we’re shown our room given two keys and told that if we went out we’d need to use the other door as there were no staff on duty and the lady (owner?) was leaving. This seemed strange but we accepted it. We quickly changed, went downstairs to go out but came to a locked door that led to the dining/reception area. There was a small enclosed courtyard but no other facilities. I panicked as I thought of fire and our inability to escape then remembered we’d been told to phone a number

Good afternoon, my apologies for the delay in getting back to you, I have only just been granted control of the Tripadvisor as we have recently bought the hotel. Please contact me directly on hello@threetunshenley.co.uk (sister pub). I hope to hear from you soon. Kind regards, Hannah

Stayed here to celebrate my birthday with my husband and a friend. Beautiful rooms, bathrooms and hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our evening meal was delicious, as was breakfast. Simply Perfect.

Recently stayed at The Townhouse. Can really recommend it and have already done so to several friends. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The location was ideal for all that Stratford upon Avon has to offer. I have just read to bad review and cannot relate to the experience they mentioned. Ours was the total opposite. Made me wonder if they stayed at the same hotel. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Just stayed at this hotel with a friend for 2 nights as part of my 60th Birthday celebrations. From the minute we arrived every single member of staff we met was polite, friendly, professional and interested in where we were from and if there was anything at all they could help us with. Our room was lovely. Comfortable beds. Little bottle of milk in the fridge (instead of the usual small cartons). Lots of different teas/coffees. Toiletries in the bathroom and good sized bathroom with walk in shower. We had a couple of minor issues that we raised with the staff and they were immediately addressed - exceeding our expectations! The hotel is situated on a quiet road but within easy reach of the river and shops/bars/restaurants although the hotel itself serves breakfast and
