Neat and cute and pleasant. Nooks and crannies of stairs and hallways add to charm. Maple Room was sitting room and a bedroom looking out on the Royal Shakespeare theater, directly across street. Food in Waterview restaurant was excellent and service attentive and helpful, but not so experienced.

This is a good quality hotel, on the next rung up from the rep hotel chains. Quality of service is more personal, the rooms slightly more luxurious and more individually decorated, etc. It is ideal for someone wanting a pleasant few days away without totally breaking the bank. The beds and rooms are very comfortable with a good range of... More

Stayed recently with my wife whilst visiting the RSC. Stayed at the Church Street Town House the previous night and can report that it is not as good as it used to be. The Arden is now the undisputed best hotel in Stratford. Great location and outside dining area but the biggest surprise was the breakfast. It was freshly cooked... More

We stayed for one night in July to see Hamlet at the RSC. Rooms and location lovely. Pre theatre dinner food quality excellent however service in restaurant generally very poor. Staff have no direction and you have to keep grabbing whoever happens to amble past next. Breakfast service the same and they forgot our breakfast order so we gave up... More

All the rooms are named for trees - that tells you that you are in a boutique hotel. Very friendly staff, well appointed rooms but on the small side. Good food. The key asset is the location. Just across the RSC. Just across the road! Strongly Recommended if you are visiting for the theatre.

Stayed for two nights and had a lovely stay. Terrace was excellent for pre and post theatre drinks. Couldn't be any closer to the theatre and in an ideal location for the tourist attractions. Room was good and bathroom spacious. Would definitely return

Staff are polite, food is pretty good and the decor is nice-atmosphere is a little bit forced though and for the price of the food/drink I'd expect something a little bit more relaxed. The location is great for theatre goers though and this could have just been bad timing on our part as it was mid week

We chose this hotel as its perfectly located for the RSC. Lovely hotel, greeted well when we arrived, we had a spacious room, and a personal fridge. Breakfast was served well and delicious. One point was the bath was very high I nearly fell getting out, there is also no lift, so if you have any mobility concerns ensure you... More

In a town of tourist traps the Arden is a breath of fresh air. We took them up on their late booking rate, which included breakfast, and were very impressed. The quality of the rooms was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful without being intrusive. The parking behind the hotel was also very convenient. Finally, the location by the... More
