Cosy old place with friendly staff. Bed very soft and wobbly and the room was rather small but fine for the two nights we stayed. Food was very pleasant, and due to electrical problems within the building that disturbed our stay we were not charged for our evening meal, which I felt was a generous gesture. Would go back again... More

I spent one night here and couldn't wait to leave. The room was so overpriced for what you get. A cramped, worn and dreary room, the shower is literally in a cupboard in the bedroom, there was 1 bar of tiny soap for 2 guests, grubby looking kettle, zero sound proofing, unpleasant smells from the kitchen wafting up the stairs,... The Cottage Inn is a somewhat old fashioned pub. It has escaped the brewery designers and makeover teams and is perhaps none the worse for that. It certainly lacks the minimalist, industrial style that infects so many of our once cosy, and welcoming pubs. Whoever decided that a floppy sofa or sagging Chesterfield was a great place to sit to... More

I love Sunday lunch. While I normally prefer a carvery, this one was more or less exactly what I wanted. We reserved a table beforehand. The service was good. The food was exactly what I like. Plenty of tender beef, and plenty of veg, etc. I've also had another nice meal there recently. It's not anything especially fancy, but I... More

Remember to go to the bar to order your food and in a short while you will be presented with the biggest portion of dinner ever! And isn't it tasty!! We went for Sunday Lunch of Roast Beef and it was excellent. The old fashioned puddings (I had apple pie and custard and one of my companions had syrup sponge... More

I went for lunch as part of my daughter's birthday celebrations and was VERY impressed. My daughter lives around the corner from the cottage and always speaks highly of the place. We went at 1pm on monday lunchtime and it was quite busy- always a good sign in a place serving food. The lady behind the bar was very friendly... More

Had a meal and a few drinks. Nice friendly pub with a good atmosphere - how pubs should be! All our group had a lovely meal and good value with a good choice on the menu and the specials board. Would recommend and try here again.

I t seems very difficult to find a consistently good standard of restaurant food. But I have to say The Cottage always seems to buck the trend. We eat there quite a lot.We have found most eateries in warwickshire are very inconsistent. But here the food is always of a very high standard,at an excellent price. The variety of dishes is again quite remarkable,for...
