We regularly visit relatives in the area and have stayed at this hotel some half a dozen times in the past. Since our previous visit the hotel has changed it’s name to Abbey Fields. On phoning to book a room I was informed the hotel had undergone ‘extensive’ refurbishment.

Firstly, not Loch Fyne anymore, but Abbey Fields, which might be a better name, as the hotel actually sits on the corner of the fields, in the most genuine part of Kenilworth. Still not far from the ’modern’ centre, maybe 1.5 km, do an easy walk. The Castle is some 10-15 minutes

Fabulous welcome, great service and exceptional food. The restaurant has recently had a facelift but I’m glad to say the food and service are still excellent. The sea bass with spinach, potatoes, poached egg and hollandaise sauce was mouth watering, couldn’t eat anything else
