We stayed here for one night as a stopover in our journey home. First impressions when we arrived was that the entrance was grotty with broken floor tiles at the lift to take you up to reception. The receptionist was extremely friendly and very helpful which made us feel welcome. The room was one of the older styles but very... More

Everything almost as you expect a premier Inn except the bathrooms are in need of a refurbishment. Price was good though for a superb location and comfy bed and bathroom was clean but a bit disappointing for us as mostly bathrooms in Premier Inns look brand new. However it is a heritage building right on the river Tyne so was... More

Having stayed in several Premier Inns locations and always finding them more than adequate I was happy to book at the Quayside when visiting for my son's graduation last week (13 July 2016). I arrived (along with my parents who were also looking forward to some time away as well as the graduation itself) after a 270 mile drive very... More

Have stayed at this hotel a few times over the past few years. Check-in this time was perfunctory; not massively friendly - certainly not the typical Premier Inn experience. The room we were allocated had a great view of the Tyne Bridge. However the rooms could do with a refresh - paintwork looking grubby and down-at-heel. Perhaps a refurbishment is... More

Stayed again great location .Room quiet and comfy .clean white sheets and white towels. Parts of the hotel looking a little sad needs a little TLC. Wandering up the stairs from the parking basement had a musty damp smell not very pleasant

I have never stayed in a Premier Inn hotel before, and have to say that my heart sank as we unfurled from our taxi and a Kittywake deposited on our driver right outside the door (the door to Reception is not on the quayside itself). Inside, it was gloomy after the bright sunshine which greeted us at the station, and... More

Recently met up with family to spend a long weekend in Newcastle - first time I've been back in 41 years so saw some changes to the city !! This hotel was in an excellent position to enable us to take full advantage all the many riverside bars and restaurants, and to walk along the quayside , visit galleries etc.... More

This is a large hotel, apparently catering to many tour groups. Nevertheless, reception was quick and friendly. Our double room was a bit tight, but beds were comfortable and the room was clean and quiet. If you're interested in the riverfront (Millennium Bridge, SAGE center, Baltic art gallery), this is an excellent location. To the famous Grey Street and shopping... More

Stayed for 2 nights with a friend for a girls weekend. Glad I pre booked parking as Lord only knows where I would have parked! The car park is limited for spaces, so I'd recommend booking a space when you book your room. It's a small cramped car park at the basement of the building, bigger cars may struggle a... More

Stayed with family for a couple of days as we were over for a Graduation ceremony. From the first moment we entered until we left, two days later ,we were treated brilliantly by the staff at the Quayside . I was in 301 which was the closest room to the Iconic Tyne bridge and had great views over the river.... More
