Stayed overnight with another couple. Ideal location, easy to get there, car parking at the nearby Dean Street. Hotel was spotlessly clean, room spacious, bed was comfy and big, staff friendly. A tad noisy but it is a central location. Ideal for overnight stay. Recommended as a base

This hotel is very central, walking distance to everything and very reasonably priced, beds were comfy, rooms clean and staff friendly cracking hotel it is on quite a busy road and near the bars and nightlife which makes it quite noisy but thats what we were there for so we didnt mind

My wife found this hotel on Groupon. We needed a hotel in the city for an overnight stay so we could go to a concert at the City Hall and have a meal and a few drinks without driving. This hotel is ideally situated 10 minute walk from Newcastle railway station and 5 minutes into the main shopping and pub/restaurant... More

We stayed at the Grey Street hotel one night whilst in transit when we couldn't get into the nearby Vermont Hotel where we had stayed before. Glad that we did, not only did it have everything one would require in a hotel (free wifi, clean room, comfortable beds, hot showers etc) it was much cheaper in price (although our room... More

Was there with my husband a few days ago to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was lovely, very spacious and clean. We really appreciated the card and jar of sweets left in our room. We would happily return to this hotel. It is a great location turn left on leaving the hotel and... More

On 5th floor, lovely, quiet room. Very spacious with a huge bathroom. Tea/coffee facilities, hairdryer, trouser press, and safe all standard. In a fantastic location, a few minutes from the shops and very close to the quayside restaurants and bars. We were in Newcastle for the Bank Holiday - fantastically busy! Hotel staff were really helpful. A great base for... More

We stayed in the Grey Street hotel for a total of three days, in a room with twin beds. The room was comfortable and clean, and had a large clean and modern bathroom. The hotel staff was lovely, very helpful. The location is excellent! Very close to the Quayside and center of town. I was happy that our room had... More

We had a lovely big room on first floor. Tea/coffee, biscuits and bottled water replenished daily. Friendly staff at reception. Hotel ideally located for exploring city. Monument metro station a short walk away with direct access to airport. All city sights within walking distance. Windows do not open and despite air con it would be nice if they did. Wifi... More
