The hotel is situated on the outskirts of the city centre, located near the Arena, not far from the central railway station, Tyne and Wear Metro station and the Life Centre. I stayed here for 2 nights. Every single member of staff here has been friendly, approachable and went out of their way to ensure that my stay has been safe, enjoyable and as comfortable as possible. All safety precautions were in place, with hand sanitiser abailable at key points, safety screens on reception and face covering worn by all staff and guests ( with exception of those who are medically exempt) The room was clean, airy and had everything I needed for my stay. The large kingsize bed was so comfortable with 4 pillows, so I could mix and match to get the most comfortable combination for myself. Due to the current covid restrictions, the food menu has had to be cut back, but there was a good choice available. Breakfast, consisted of a bag of fresh and tasty goodies, left outside my room door by the “ breakfast fairies” ( they were so quiet )early in the morning with a delicious hot bacon/sausage bap available to collect ( ordered the day before) from reception. Evening meals were available in either the bar, to collect, or for a £6 tray charge delivered by room service. I opted to sit in the beautifully decorated bar on my first night ( steak and ale pie with mashed potatoes and side of veg, followed by chocolate brownie), but treat myself to room service on my second night ( haddock and chips with mush peas and tarter sauce ) On both occasions my meals were well cooked, safely and beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Portion sizes were substantial. I was lucky enough to wake up early and witness the sunrise from the 7th floor.... so beautiful! Downsides.... there is slight road noise, but being in a city location it is to be expected. All in all a really good stay.

Stayed here night before a family funeral in 636. Requested a double room but was given a room with a tiny double bed and a single bed. Was too tired and fatigued to try and move rooms as we arrived late. No facility in the morning to have a coffee in the reception/bar before we left. Room was clean, bedding was lovely. Covid secure with paper cups and wrapped spoons etc. Bathroom was slightly dusty. Attention to toilet roll holder caked in dust could be attended to. Overall was okay for £40.

Stayed here recently with a group of friends for a couple of nights. Staff friendly from start to finish. Quick and easy check in. Rooms clean to a high standard and very spacious. All precautions taken into account with the current situation. We all had a great nights sleep and had chance to enjoy a few drinks in the hotel bar. Had a fantastic few days in Newcastle, just the break we all needed at this time. Have stayed at this hotel before and would definitely book next time, great location and staff accommodating. Special shout out to Neil who let us leave our luggage in one of the rooms until 3pm on day of check out. Way past check out time but meant we didn't have to trail our cases round with us until train time. Many thanks.

we stayed here for 1 night in a city break for my hubbys 40th. The lady who greeted us was very attentive chatty and welcoming and offered advice on places to eat out and drink . We went up to our room 608 to find it was not clean and the bed was not made and toilet seal broken, dirty cup in bin. We changed rooms and our 2nd room 504 was clean. Everything was good, then i tried to take a shower and it was cold 🥶. I also took my shoes off and stepped onto an earing that must have been left from a previous guest.

Used a voucher for an overnight stay in a premier room with Prosecco & a continental breakfast, we couldn’t use on line check in as we were allowed early check in which wasn’t an option & it was requesting a payment which we’d already made when purchasing the voucher. Warmly greeted by a lovely young lady on reception, made us feel very welcome & handed us our water & biscuits etc in a paper bag, plenty of sanitiser in the foyer/reception asked about our plans and made sure we were allocated a room high up which was quieter, the room was 705 & very clean, impressed by the standards, the area around was very quiet not much traffic or footfall at all. We parked opposite the Kia garage adjacent to the arena which was £7 for 24 hours & is not included in any deal. When we left the room on Sun morning our continental breakfast was waiting at the door for us in bags, we were disturbed around 2 am, it sounded like someone hitting a mug with a spoon & lasted several minutes, unsure how this was possible as there were only paper cups in the rooms! That aside it was a really nice stay & excellent value for money.
