Arrived Saturday afternoon staff very friendly and helpful got to our room and it was very very small and bathroom small and not very clean. Room next door were fighting right outside our room on Saturday night and kept banging against it sounding like they were going to put the door through. Sunday night heard a lot of banging then... Really good location. The room we had was clean and spacious and the beds were comfy. The manager we dealt with during our stay was excellent! We were a group of girls so he gave us a full length mirror for the room and also gave us a free later check out as our flight wasn't till late in the... More

The hostel was actually very clean, the beds were comfortable and run by friendly staff. It was, as expected very basic but it served the purpose that it was booked for, and was right at the centre of where we needed to be. I would visit again if a similar occasion arose but would generally choose something better.

Perfect hotel for what was needed. Bedding was clean, and it did what we needed. Not like being at home but this isn't the place to go for that. The owner is a nice guy and was happy to help. Cheap, easy to get and would recommend. Mucky night out to perfect mucky hotel! Perfect in very way, thanks for... More

I wasn't expecting a lot from this place seen as it was a "budget hotel" and booked it due to the relatively cheap price thinking it would suffice seen as my visit to Newcastle was for a night out. This place was something else. Upon arrival I was simply handed a key and a bit of paper with a code... More

Very basic, not the cleanest of places, but for the price we payed, it has a great central location, and the staff were friendly! A little noisy, but I do feel it is intended for people in Newcastle to party. Not a hotel, definitely a hostel. The "Family room" which sleeps five, is a double and a triple bunk bed.

Myself and 5 others stayed here for a stag do I organised. To be honest we were all fearing the worst after reading some of the reviews on here. But we needn't have worried. The room was very spacious which could easily have fitted another couple of grown men. The shower was in excellent working order as was the good... More

On arrival you are greeted by an ominous looking black door off the street, 'secured' by a digi lock, more on that in a bit. The friendly owner/manager appears from a separate door adjacent. We were given a single card key with the digi code written on it, and directed to the second floor. (Two or three keys would have... More

Heroes hostel is definitely your basic hostel setup. Great location, sound proofing was good to block out our noisy neighbours, beds were good and clean and staff were friendly and helpful. However...you get what you pay for at heroes. Our room was far from a good standard. It had a broken shower door making the bathroom very wet and slippery,... More
