I had read a few reviews before we booked it....and they were very mixed...and we soon fond out why. On arrival we were met by Jake, such a lovely receptionist who insisted he helped carry our luggage to the room as this involved taking it in a lift to the first floor reception and then in another lift to access...

Booked in here for a Friday night, have to park outside on busy junction from Swingbridge to get parking pass for carpark which is actually on the other side of the road and behind you, its the nightclub car park. Relatively easy to find, might be better to send the voucher out first so you can park up and then...

Booked this hotel to deliver grandson to university halls. After reading previous reviews didnt know what to expect. We were arriving by car from A19 direction and considering it is on the Quayside was quite easy to get to. We parked outside while I went in to find out about the parking, its just across the road and again was...

For what we paid this was not value for money. Worn and in need of renovation. Breakfast was not tasty. Had a leak in the bathroom ceiling when raining. Was offered another room, where the window was kept open with a tea mug. Friendly staff. Privat parking opposite hotel. Good location on Quayside with lots of restaurants arond the corner....

I always write where credit it due but this hotel was filthy dirty. The decor was very old there was coffee stains on the walls. The remote was disgusting. The quilt cover had a hole and was stained. There was a chair in the room which was stained the radiator cover was broke. The list is endless and it cost...

Paid just under £400 for two nights for two adults and a child. The staff were great the hotel itself is poor! The cheek to present such nasty run down accommodation to guests is crazy. We had coffee or something brown splattered on the ceiling, a gunky bogey on the door, the headboard was falling apart, the sink was falling...

Although a small hotel, its location is perfect for a relaxed holiday. There are pubs all around, it is within walking distance to main attractions, to train/tube/buses stations, and just across the road from the Tyne River quayside and the bridges to Gateshead. Very friendly and helpful staff who make you feel at home. A very good breakfast (English/continental) awaits...
