No staff on reception when we tried to check in, NO bell to ring, we waited almost 10 minutes before someone came, this happened again when we came back after being out for the day on Saturday, as you must hand your key in when you go out !! its an actual key, not "modern" style key-card. We had a...

I have reviewed this as 5 stars because of the staff. From the minute we ariived they were all friendly, knowlegable and efficient. However once we checked in to the rooms it does go downhill! The rooms are dated and nothing seems to have been done to them for the last 5 years! Patched carpets, badly wired heaters, dodgy sash...

Stayed hear with friends for a long weekend and from when we arrived to when we left was shocking . We arrived to the hotel around 3.30 in the afternoon and we were checked in by Jordan who was really nice and friendly . On getting into my room I had a look round and seen that the headboards were...

Very last minute booking for one night. Receptionist was lovely and hotel was quite way to find. The room was clean and quite modern although there was some wear and tear (marks on walls and quite a large rip in the carpet). However would definitely recommend as the rooms were quiet and was in a good location!

Stayed 1 night on a business trip to Newcastle. Good central location near the River. We found the carpark by accident. The small Outdoor Car park is opposite the hotel across the main road. The entrance is narrow and spaces small but adequate. The hotel is on the first floor above a restaurant and bar. The receptionist was efficient and...

Great location down by the river and only a few minutes away from the train station. Rooms clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. As I was only there for the evening I only got a snapshot but I'd definitely stay again.

Stopped here last night after deciding on a last minute weekend away. The hotel was reasonably priced and in a good location. Once we arrived the staff was very friendly although that's the best thing I can say for this place I'd rather pay more and stop elsewhere. The room was cold, dated and in need of a major revamp....

First trip to Newcastle, booked Hotel online as it originally came up cheaper than the Travel Inn for one night. Then we opted to travel up a day early so added Friday night which did not make it such a great deal. However great location, private parking across the road - £ 7 a night. Hotel is tired and I...

Stayed here three nights. Centrally located reasonably priced hotel on the river Tyne. Rooms are comfortable, if a bit small, but that is typical for this market. Better than average showers. A bit dinghy, especially in the hall ways. One bonus is the very nice breakfast at Long Record Cafe downstairs. WiFi was a bit shaky on our first night,...

The hotel occupies a handsome Grade II listed building steeped in history and includes free Wi-Fi, parking and the funky and lively late night bar "Jimmyz" open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays . The city centre plays host to an excellent choice of shopping and also plays host to the Theatre Royal, which brings in talents such as opera North and The Royal Shakespeare Company. The bar is located on the ground level or if it’s dancing you prefer, then look no further than Sea nightclub. The hotel aims to go that extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful stay. Each bedroom has a unique style; the layout of the hotel lends itself to well-appointed rooms with the privacy and intimacy of a boutique hotel. Although the hotel doesn’t serve lunch or evening meals the immediate area boasts an excellent range of restaurants and cafes in which to enjoy any variety of meal. The famous Jimmyz Bar has been a landmark venue in Newcastle since the major re-development of the Quayside in the early 90’s. The bar has recently had a makeover of its own and this opulent cosmopolitan venue now boasts an extensive cocktail list and the sort of hospitality which makes Newcastle a popular choice.Newcastle and the wider area is made up of a diverse variety of towns, cities, coast and countryside offering a huge selection of things to do whatever your tastes.
