My wife and I had several issues with noise in the room. However the staff were helpful and attentive and looked after us very well. Hotels are not perfect all the time but it is in responding to problems when they arise that attentive, motivated staff really shine.

Overall this is a well situated hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and obliging. However there was a lot of noise due to a bus trip of rugby players and children. Although not the staffs fault the children were unruly we should of been informed of this large party as it would of given Us...

I guess this isn't the hotel for a romantic weekend but for us it was just right. On Osborne Road - a never ending row of hotels formed from numerous victorian buildings. Hotel was spacious and reasonably appointed. Most money had gone into public areas. Our room was large but bathroom was a bit worn out. Some had issues with...

Loved this hotel. Room was massive & very clean with all amenities including iron &board, hairdryer in bedroom & beard dryer (or whatever?) in bathroom. Food was brilliant!!!!. I was on a coach trip, so the menu was a set choice, but it seemed to cater for everyone. The Billabong Bar (the bar staff there are brilliant.Lucy No 1 remembered...

Lovely afternoon tea at the hotel with my husband. Ham, egg mayo and smoked salmon sandwiches, gorgeous scones and cakes and endless tea plus a glass of prosecco. Very pleasant and relaxing afternoon in what looked to be a lovely hotel. Would recommend it.

Paying £60 for a night here was about its worth. Although in a popular part of Newcastle the rooms themselves are tired and appear to have been knocked about by previous occupants with chips and dents on the furniture. Staff were OK, but when I reported that there was no remote for the TV, they said someone would bring another...

We have stayed here four or five times now using the Peel Hotels Gold Voucher scheme. This is not widely advertised but you can get details by phoning a Peel Hotel. You get two nights dinner, bed and breakfast with an upgrade to a superior room. Prices start at about £110 - that's for two people for two nights -...

Spent two nights in this hotel to take in a show in Newcastle. We booked with another couple but our rooms were on different floors. The decor in the rooms was worn and tired. The hotel catered for 'groups' which were allowed to make lots of noise between the hours of 2am and 6am and as our room was adjacent...
