This hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Newcastle. We arrived on Friday a party of six to celebrate our joint pearl anniversaries. One of our couples had stayed previously a few years ago and recommended the hotel for it's central location. We arrived early on the Friday and had lunch in the bar as we knew the rooms...

I stayed here as this was ideal to our office, huge bedroom beautiful big window over looking the Quayside, room service was excellent, food excellent, downside for me was the noise either side from the trains and in need of an update, very dated.

Travelled recently to Newcastle with a group of friends to attend a sporting event which was held at the Quayside area. The hotel is well located overlooking the river and only a short walk from all the bars and restaurant's at the quay. The City Centre is only a short stroll away, but is all up high, no problem on...

The hotel WAS the best hotel in Newcastle about 15 years ago. Unfortunately time has worked against it. We had a suite and paid £125. The room was ok but not £125 worth. This hotel is in need of renovation throughout. Not a bad location for visiting the quayside however.

Excellent location; we stayed 3 nights in Club room (2 desks, lounge chairs, large room, and Voucher for 2 drinks & crisps at the bar every day). All quite good, between the top end Holiday Inn quality and a Marriott standard. Service excellent throughout. Clean. But no air con; just have to turn the system off, and open a window!...

We stayed over the bank holiday weekend, two adults and our son and two of his mates (16yrs old) in two interconnecting rooms. Ideal set up giving the lads their own space whilst being in close proximity, got the xbox set up and the lads were sorted. We usually stay 4 or 5 star and I would say, the 4...

Located right on the Qauy with a nice lillte sit out overlooking the river. The staff were extremely attentive and helpful, even though they had their work cut out on a friday night. The rooms are large and spacious and have all the required facilities expected from a Copthorne. Note: Bathrooms are rather small

Ask for a room with a view and you won't be disappointed. Rooms well enough. Disappointed that when we stayed we only were told at night that the restaurant was fully booked with a private function. In a really good position on the quayside and rooms that look over the Tyne the Copthorne portrays a 4* hotel without really delivering. The reception area is impressive and the staff were very welcoming however the room, spacious as it was, looked tired and worn with the hallway carrying a 'musty' smell. It was clean and the bed comfortable...
