Very clean and large rooms with kitchenette, dining area and en suite bathrooms situated in the middle of the city with amenities and shops immediately outside. Only thing that lets it down is the breakfast unless you like overcooked dry bacon and tasteless sausages and a very minimum lack of selection of side accompaniments.

Thank you for taking the time to post us a review and I am pleased you enjoyed your stay. I am sorry you felt our complimentary breakfast wasn't extensive enough, however we are currently still having to follow restrictions therefore we are unable to serve our 'normal' range of foods as many of them are buffet style items. We are however lucky to still be able to serve a four cooked breakfast options (plus breakfast sandwich option), cereal, porridge, muffins, croissants, toast and condiments, yoghurts, fresh fruit and boiled eggs. I am sorry you found the sausages tasteless, our deliveries have been difficult so we weren't serving our usual sausage, it's back to normal now though. I do hope you will return in the future to see our 'normal' standard. Thank you again for your review.

just returned to Staybridge Newcastle after 6 months working from home due to covid restrictions. What a welcome from staff, same great place, same great staff. No need to consider any other accommodation in Newcastle, this would be your best choice business or pleasure.

A fantastic place in a great spot just set back from the Quayside. The set-up gives you a good sized room and a chance to self-cater with sinks, hob, micro etc. Despite this they then include a basic but acceptable breakfast next morning. On-site parking is chargeable but reasonable. On the sleep front a very comfortable bed and no noise from outside or neighbouring rooms. Very highly rated and can see why. Did hear others comments that they feared it may be a bit far outside the centre but that it was perfect for walking both to the Quayside or the centre.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review, we do appreciate it. We are usually able to offer more items at breakfast however, due to these being 'buffet' style items we are not able to provide these until restrictions are lifted further. I am please you were able to get a good nights sleep! Hope to see you again soon.

This property provides the convenience of a luxury apartment along with the service standards and facility's that you would expect from an executive floor in a full service hotel. As an IHG Spire elite member, I like IHG propertys that provide outstanding member recognition and this property certainly does not disappoint. My request for an upgrade to a one bedroom suite was met and on arrival my status was recognised and I was offered the usual option of points or welcome amenity. When on a leisure stay I generally take the amenity and the choice here was generous with a choice of 2 drinks and welcome amenity's. I opted for 2 of the quarter bottles of red wine which was delicious! The hotel is discreetly tucked away just off city road, yet only a 5 minute walk takes you down to the millennium bridge on the quayside, My suite was amazing, better than many that I've stayed in in full service Intercontinental hotels. On the 6th floor I had an outstanding view across the city and its bridges. Everything about the suite felt clean and fresh, not one bit of dust anywhere. The floor to ceiling windows gave it a very spacious feel, large tv, sofa, 2 armchairs and a large granite work service that functioned both as a desk and dining table. The kitchenette was also spotless and provided everything you need, if you wanted to self cater As well as the usual tea and coffee tray, I liked the fact that they also provide a cafetiere with fresh ground coffee. Downstairs they have a coffee shop area where you can help yourself to coffee, teas and hot chocolate 24/7 all complimentary. The lounge lead through to an ensuite bathroom that was again exceptionally comfortable. I have to say the leather sleigh bed was the most comfortable bed that I have ever sept in at a hotel. Bathroom was again luxurious, plenty of luxury towels and toiletries were BEEKind by Gilchrist and Soames. What I particularly liked about this property is that while many hotels are cutting back on service and using covid as an excuse to cut costs this property still provides a drinks reception and breakfast in a covid safe way. The drinks reception runs from 6:30pm to 7:30pm on weekday evenings, They don't operate it at weekends. Its similar to the offering of an executive lounge in a 5 star hotel, where you get a free flow of beer and wine. The wine was good quality, and flowed freely! Service was extremely friendly and attentive . We were also served individually plated cheese boards to enjoy with our wine, which I thought was a lovely touch and again, no bar bill to pick up at the end of the evening! Breakfast service was explained at check in , we anticipated it being busy so planned on collecting breakfast to take back up to the suite however it was fairly quiet, so because we wanted a cooked breakfast, we chose to have it downstairs. Breakfast was cleverly designed in covid safe way, where the hotel still provided a full buffet but everything was individually packeted from the cartons of orange, to the cereals, yoghurts, croissants, muffins and breads. If you wanted the full english it was served to you from the buffet rather than you serving yourself. What really makes this hotel stand out however is its staff. Customer service was exceptional and every member of staff that we interacted with seemed genuinely so happy in their jobs and made us feel so welcome. Did not use the gym, so cant comment but may use it on my next stay later in the week. A big well done. If only every IHG property could operate to this standard

Wow, thank you so much for taking the time to post us such a lovely review. We have tried very hard to be able to offer our usual service once restrictions were eased but still follow the Government guidelines, I am really pleased you felt we managed to achieve this. The team will be pleased that they were able to offer great service, they really are a special bunch! Hope to see you again in the future, thank you again.

A really great place to stay. The rooms are excellent with a kitchen, en-suite and king size bed in the studios and suites. Great hotel. Great location. Very clean. Great gym. Would highly recommend. Being able to cook if you want to is great whilst away for a few days. Good size fridge to keep food and drinks in too. There’s nothing I didn’t like about the hotel and facilities. Really friendly and helpful staff made the stay even better.
