I booked this room on hotels.com but there was no mention of construction work. When I arrived the old Tudor building is covered in scaffolding and the main building was full of noisy workmen undertaking refurbishment works. The corridors were dusty with plaster, woodwork dust and smelt of paint. The carpets had been cut and taken up and the underlay... More

I had a Spa Day at Lythe Hill and used the Amarna Spa and although the facilities were good i must say the Beauty Manager, i think her name is Jessica was an absolute star. I have never met anyone with such good customer service, nothing was too much trouble. She gave me a massage which was so good i... More

Far from casting aspersions as i can really only comment on our experience.. and this is an accurate and truthful account (please bear in mind I'm not the serial complainer type) but I am so disappointed with my stay at the Lythe hill hotel i feel obliged to leave this review. So, on booking a well deserved and relaxing spa... More

I stayed at Lythe hill for a wedding at the end of August. The rooms were nice. A huge and very comfy bed was very welcoming after a wedding. However, our room was SO HOT!! There was so aircon, the window only opened a crack. On the plus 2 fans were provided but it was still far too hot and... More

We had a superior room with plenty of space. The old part of the hotel is beautiful and currently undergoing refurbishment. Our evening meal was excellent ,the food presentation and staff very good. The spa staff were very helpful and we loved the quiet pool and grounds with peaceful woodland walks.

This place is an example of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. It has lots of potential; nice location, pleasant rooms (at least the deluxe rooms are nice), spa etc. However, the left hand has not a clue what the right hand is doing. This is a problem; it's not cheap and when people pay good money to stay... More

Reception a little offhand. Room was very comfortable only the decor, although smart, with grey walls and black beams was somewhat drab! Bathroom was excellent. Spa facilities were first class, the pool was one of the best I have experienced in a hotel. Buffet breakfast was very good. The main downside was the restaurant for dinner. the restaurant is located... More

We stayed here the night before my sisters wedding ( which was at another venue). The old part of the hotel is beautiful and historic with all the rooms named after different monarchs and each with its own shape, style and quirks. We ate in the old dining room downstairs which was amazing. We were very well looked after and... More

The Lythe Hill is undergoing a major expansion and refurbishment but despite this their restaurant is still able to produce an excellent Sunday Roast. We had the beef that was slightly rare and a generous portion. The vegetables were slightly adente and the yorkshire pudding was massive. The desserts were to die for and it was difficult to decide so... More

We stayed here for a night having attended a wedding at Ramster Hall. The grounds are beautiful and the 17th century main house is amazing. I wasn't too impressed with our room for the money we paid, on arrival very late into the evening we were escorted to our room and on first impressions we thought it was very nice.... More
