Disgusting service during the COVID pandemic. Please refer to the easily read guidelines on GOV.UK regarding hotels, instead of throwing residents out on the street, with no where to stay or go. I have provided a copy directly from the government website considering it was clearly to difficult to locate these guidelines the first time. "Accommodation such as hotels, B&Bs, campsites, holiday lets and guest houses must close. These premises can only open for a person, who: - Is unable to return to their main residence (WHICH IS NORTHERN IRELAND) - Was staying there immediately before the area entered Tier 3 ( Had been staying for 5 days prior and had a further 2 to go )" Didn't get any warning, not even a note slipped under the door, a sign in the elevator or a staff member advising on site... I mean is that such a challenge for a a supposed 4 star establishment. After a days walk the last thing you want to return too is a locked door, abandoned luggage and Mickey Mouse posing as the assistant manager. I am sure when Boris released the advice on Tiers within the region he didn't honestly think people would be abandoned.…
Incredibly comfortable room. Easy check in. Brilliant breakfast to my room. The bar area is open and welcoming with a great cocktail and drinks menu. Although the bars were busy I didn’t hear a thing once in the room.
Stayed in October before restrictions came in. Hotel was fully equipped with a thermometer at the door, a one way system and staff wearing PPE. Room was lovely, some of the bathroom amenities weren’t full and some you couldn’t open which was annoying. Ate once at the bar which was delicious. Staff were very slow to respond leaving you sitting around for a while which was irritating as it was very quiet. Spa you have to pay hourly for which is an absolute joke.
The Harbour hotel was an exceptional stay, with industry leading standards exceeding my expectations. The spa facilities were tranquil and a very relaxing experience, my favourite being the hot tub. Everything about the spa felt elite and the attention to detail really helped make my stay. We then enjoyed drinks at the HarBar, the cocktails were delicious, I had an expresso martini which was presented extremely well. We also ordered some tacos with our cocktails due to the covid regulations, however the tacos were well worth it and nicely tailored to the regulations being priced well, tasty and tender meat and the perfect amount before dinner. The room was tip top standard, extremely clean and perfect for a couples getaway. We ate at Rumwong which was just round the corner, with delicious food. Breakfast was also gorgeous, with the selection of a continental and also a full English, I went for the full English which came with a selection of anything that I desired from both menus such as some pain au chocolat from the continental alongside my full English. The staff were very attentive and brought us our hot drinks and juices extremely quickly. Upon our arrival (at around 5:15) I was stressing about finding parking quickly as the spa facilities closed at 6, the receptionists gave us complimentary parking which was unasked and saved us a lot of time in order to make the most of their amazing facilities. This set the tone of the stay upon my arrival and showed the real professionalism shown by the Harbour Hotel. Overall I would highly recommend, it is fairly priced and went above and beyond for us to make our stay special.…
I visit this hotel most weeks for work. The facilities are second to none and the staff are all brilliant. They will go out of their way to make sure I have everything I need and I am always welcomed with politeness and professionalism. If you are looking for a modern, clean hotel ideally located in Guildford with fantastic facilities then look no further.
