After spending a lot of time in dull and soulless Corporate hotels during my working life it has been a joy to see what the B&B market has to offer. The answer has proved to be 'a great deal' This was clearly illustrated when my wife and I stayed at Norfolk House last week. Firstly it was a beautiful house... More

We and other family members travelled up from the Portsmouth area and Cornwall to attend a family birthday party in mid July. Unfortunately, this coincided with Race Week in Newmarket which meant that our accommodation options were very limited and also very expensive.Fortunately for us, it also meant that we then discovered Norfolk House! We were made very welcome by... More

We had a family gathering which happened to coincide with Race Week at nearby Newmarket and meant that there was very limited local accommodation available. Thankfully, this led us to the lovely Norfolk House! Fabulous location and outstanding service with lovely attention to detail. Lyn made us most welcome and we would strongly recommend this beautiful B&B to anyone!

Stayed for the second time while attending Newmarket Nights. Lynne & Brent are warm, gracious hosts providing a comfortable, relaxing place to stay. We stayed in the Cream Room this time which has its own private shower room and we slightly preferred it to the French Room. However, both rooms are extremely luxurious & comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty &... More

Amazing bed and breakfast perfectly situated for a day at the races. From the moment I enquired about staying Lynne was beyond helpful, with every need attended to. My only regret is that we didn't spend more time at the B&B. The location was perfect and absolutely stunning. Lynne was an amazing host and her breakfast was fantastic. I'm running... More

The perfect place for basing yourself in this part of the world. The house is lovely and is set in a very picturesque village. You can also expect a warm welcome and a delicious breakfast. Amazingly there is also a swimming pool, which was such a treat.

We booked 2 rooms at Norfolk House for a family get-together and trip to Newmarket races. Lynne and husband were fantastic hosts friendly, helpful and nothing too much trouble. The House, bedrooms and guest lounge are beautifully furnished with quality bedlinen and fixtures, the garden has an outdoor swimming pool and is surrounded by rural views in a quiet setting... We recently visited Newmarket for the second time in eight months and there was no hesitation as to where to stay. Lynne greeted us like long lost friends and our two nights were very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with warm croissants, fruit salad and very spoiling scrambled egg with salmon on the last morning. Another lovely visit.

Norfolk House was, for we Aussie travelers a home away from home. Met by Lynne with delicious tea and cake we felt immediately at home in this beautiful house in its lovely quiet village just a short drive from the Horse Racing centre, Newmarket. We stayed in the very spacious cream bedroom with a well equipped and spacious sole use... More
