Me and two work colleagues stayed here for a week while working in the area. The downstairs bar and restaurant area was very nice and looked like it had been recently done up. For the price of the rooms was very good value for money. The shower was powerful and hot in room 1 where I stayed. The only negative... More

4 of went for Sunday lunch . As I and my partner arrived early , we thought we would have a drink whilst waiting . I popped to the loo and there was no soap for hand washing . We ordered our drinks and overheard a snappy exchange between the owners , which doesn't give a good impression . We... More

When I booked I assumed it was a B&B, it turns out that it is not. It does come up when you search for B&Bs. From other reviews I am not the only one to make this mistake. When I asked about Breakfast I was told that the chef was off but I could have £5 to go into Newmarket.... More

Booked a twin room, as we were attending a hospitality day at Newmarket races, had to call late to try to book a second room, and they were really accommodating offering us the last room at a discount price, which was really appreciated due to the late notification . Arrived to check in and had a few minutes wait until... More

Although living locally we've never set foot in the Wheatsheaf but it's gone straight to the top of our list of places to visit on a rainy Sunday afternoon. The Roast dinner was lovely- you can pay a little more for 'extras' so we had plenty of food to keep us going! Great staff, nice surroundings, reasonably priced. The only... More

I start as I checked in. we arrived and got parked up in what seems to be a street, but couldn't work out if it was the carpark or a street. Anyway.....here is where it all goes down hill, we walked through the door, it was eerily quite, like you'd seem in some Country and Weston movie. the staff member... More

Hi, I'd like to respond to your comments. I am not sure where we are advertising that we offer breakfast. We don't and I have never advertised that anywhere. We offer an express breakfast which actually we gave you free of charge. The room should not have been cold. If it was you should have told us and we would... More
