Stayed overnight whilst travelling. Managed to pick the only non Greene King bar in the town. Now that was a result in itself. Good range of beers and ciders (Adnams was perfect) and the evening meal was excellent. Downside was the room and the car park. For a hotel with over 12 rooms, 4 parking spaces was poor. Tell us... Had a lovely two night stay here. The room was light airy and very clean. The furniture was new and the bed very comfortable. Our room looked over the garden and road but was not noisy. The food was so good we ate there both nights and the breakfasts were great with a great choice to please all tastes. All... More

A really nice hotel with a very friendly welcome. We visited on a Sunday lunchtime and it was quite busy. Varied menu and roasts on offer too at a very reasonable price. We had fish and chips, burger and the trimmings and roasted belly pork with green beans and potato wedges. All very nice and we would definitely return ☺️

Family lunch ( with American relative) taken in the delightful conservatory. Very warm welcome by efficient and helpful staff. The tables were very clean, with sparkling glasses and fresh linen napkins. Great menu, generous portions and very good value for money. Shell-on prawns starter possibly the best prawns ever (from the American!) and the Pork Belly (my choice) was ,without... More

Visited the Crown recently with friends for a late birthday celebration. We had a lovely evening and a very good meal. The wine wasn't bad either. The restaurant has a lovely ambience overlooking a courtyard garden. It was almost full which surprised me on a midweek evening. Having said that the service was prompt without being rushed. I thoroughly recommend... More

I came here for lunch 13 years ago whilst on a much needed weekend break. The memories I had of fabulous food and great atmosphere from that moment in time were still the same all these years later. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was of relaxed sophistication and the food was stunning. I had deep fried... More

We had travelled from Cirencester and had a very spacious room on the ground floor of the annexe which was comfortable and well appointed. We had a great extended breakfast in the dining room. We did not stay for very long but would recommend as a stopover.
