We arrived for our one night stay just in time for lunch so settled on sandwiches from the bar menu, which were tasty and good value. Shortly afterwards we were shown to our room. The decor in general was nice but the room quite small with a tiny shower room accessed by a sliding door right next to the bed....

Just had a night away here.Booked last minute having never visited Lavenham but always wanted to.What a result!, such lovely staff, amazing building with charming, cosy rooms. A menu that makes you want to try it all and to top it off the perfect breakfast before you leave.

We stayed for one night at this lovely hotel in the market square in Lavenham. Staff were very friendly, room very comfortable. Evening meal was delicious and good value for money. Plenty of choice for breakfast and eggs were poached just right. Our dog was also made very welcome with little dog biscuits which he thoroughly enjoyed! Will definitely be...

We had lunch herethis week with friends who had booked for 12.30. We had one starter (soup) and the other three of us went straight for mains. The soup took a long time to arrive and the main courses were served at 1.30! An how after we arrived. All meals were delicious though I ordered the goats cheese with beetroot...

I telephoned this venue as I was arranging a photoclub trip for 14 people to Lavenham and needed somewhere that could cope with this number for lunch. The Greyhound , also in Lavenham, said that they could only cope if we paid £10 per head up front and pre-ordered our food. This was not the case with The Angel as...

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night in January. The hotel itself it well presented and the decor is lovely and goes with the history of the building! The rooms were very nice too. Breakfast was served in the restaurant in the morning and there was a nice selection to choose from. Overall a very nice stay

Booked this hotel very late for just one night. Arrived late and had first class dinner served by friendly staff. The warm room was clean with a very comfortable bed, a modern bathroom and lots of old beams and sloping floors. Breakfast was excellent. Any downsides? Well - very personal one: I like Weetabix cereal and wasn't part of the...

Had a really relaxing supper on Monday with friends - I was very impressed with the high standard of the food- presentation and taste. The staff were efficient and friendly -an extensive menu and the creamed goats cheese with walnuts and pear was delicious ! Lots of lovely typical English choices - sausage mash with onion gravy for example !

A lovely quaint/quirky place to stay. Room was lovely, clean and warm and the bed very comfortable. All staff very helpful and polite. Food and bar prices very reasonable. There are comfortable leather chesterfield sofas in the bar area with a huge open log fire. Food was excellent - especially the breakfast! A lovely ambience about the place. If you are...
