We stayed for a weekend and had a lovely time, the hotel is situated just off the main street but is quiet. Lots of comfy chairs to sit in and the restaurant was very good. We had a front facing room that looked out on the street, it was not too noisy and had a nice view of the church...

A very cold and wet Sunday so was looking forward to a Sunday Roast and a Hot Chocolate. Could provide neither. We arrived at 2.30 so can appreciate no more Roasts available... but.... Come on ran out of Hot Chocolate! surely they would keep a tin in stock,it is November after all. The meal we had was very nice thankyou...

Lovely clean room, with everything we needed for a night away, with lovely large shower. Good value for money, friendly staff. Only downside was full English breakfast was on the small side. Pancakes however was a generous portion and lovely. If stairs are an issue ground floor rooms are available. Ours was upstairs with a view of the beer garden...

Great little pub/B&B but the breakfast was diabolical! burnt egg, raw mushrooms, inedible (didn't trust the sausage!). Was offered to have another but breakfast is not a time to hang about. Please train the "chef" how to cook then I might come back

Literally half the food was out of stock. The poor waitress I felt really sorry for, because not only did she have to come out a couple of times to tell us about out of stock stuff, she also had to bring out cold food. The food brought out cold was what I call easy cooking food, Fried stuff like...

I visited with three friends on a cycling trip and found a nice, comfortable room in a good pub with friendly, helpful staff. A small car park reserved for hotel guests. Excellent breakfast, good service and great value - thoroughly recommended.

Just had 4 nights at The Bushel. Very nice place, room 9 was great, plenty of space and clean. Walk in shower was the best. Pub is near the town centre but quiet and peaceful. Good beers and food. Breakfast was good, friendly staff. Cora was very nice lady. Bury St Edmunds is a very nice town, felt safe walking...

Nice hotel - lovely and clean - comfortable with all the bits and pieces you'd expect - i thin it's being refurbished - the only criticism I had was that there were no bedside reading lamps so I had to have the massive light on to read in bed - not the biggest problem just a little niggle the restaurant...
