Nice place with good facilities. Good breakfast. However what really made it was the very friendly and helpful staff, especially Vicky who was the took my check-in. She was excellent, and answered the questions I had with a hospitable and friendly manner.

We booked our Christmas lunch a good few months ahead so we were really looking forward to it. Our table was booked for 2pm but we were told it was ours for the day so arrived almost an hour early. We were told to take a seat and someone would take our drink order shortly. After a lengthy wait I...

The check in was officially 3pm, however on arrival we found that our room was ready at 1pm and we were shown to our room where we were able to drop our bags off and set off looking around the historic town until we met...

Lovely clean room, with everything we needed for a night away, with lovely large shower. Good value for money, friendly staff. Only downside was full English breakfast was on the small side. Pancakes however was a generous portion and lovely. If stairs are an issue ground floor rooms are available. Ours was upstairs with a view of the beer garden...

Great little pub/B&B but the breakfast was diabolical! burnt egg, raw mushrooms, inedible (didn't trust the sausage!). Was offered to have another but breakfast is not a time to hang about. Please train the "chef" how to cook then I might come back
