Just popped into have a drink @10.30pm before ending the evening with friends..... we couldn't go in the bar or stand outside the bar area and have a drink.......apparently it's against their rules??? How absolutely ridiculous!!! Will not return.... the customer service was diabolical.....no smiles, no trying to help.....never had such bad service......very angry.

Exceeded expectations. Can highly recommend the "Weekend Warrior" cocktail if you like sweet drinks and chatting with the barmen about their alcoholic creations. I had a gorgeous duck egg starter and very tasty hake. Pigs cheeks and cajun bream were also delicious. Can't wait to go back.

I've just got in from having lunch here with my friend Tina..It was the first time we have visited this hotel for lunch but it definately won't be our last. The staff, without exception, were lovely..very friendly, professional and attentive, the dining experience today was very good, we both had home made tomato soup which was served with a warm...

This place is truly, truly special. Beautifully renovated, friendly, unpretentious service from all staff in the hotel, for whom nothing is too much trouble. Have visited on several occasions now, the food is really delicious but for me what really steals the show is the cocktails and the service in the bar in general. On each occasion we were politely...

Visited for a family lunch. Lovely decor and friendly and helpful staff. The food was excellent - one the nicest lunches I've had in a very long time. Squid starter, fish and chips (very generous portion) and an amazing banana souffle dessert which was mouthwatering. All of our group thoroughly enjoyed the food. The restaurant was very quiet but that...

Overall a very pleasant stay ... staff very attentive but not intrusive ... we had the "Conway" room on top floor at the front ... no lift so any mobility issues will be a problem apart from ground floor accommodation...traffic noise constant until 7pm then again from 7am but still managed a good nights sleep. Rooms very well appointed with...

From the moment we arrived we felt looked after and cared for. This is a beautiful hotel made extra special by the lovely staff. The room was luxurious spotlessly clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was there. Our meal in the evening started with drinks in the bar, again great staff, relaxed unpretentious atmosphere. The food was beautifully presented...

Disappointing all round. Differculty parking. Service was very average and slow. We were seated at our table but waited a lengthy time before a waiter came then he wanted our food order despite no menu or offer off drinks. Some parts of the food were tasty but overall I wouldn't rush back. Very expensive experience but lovely time with friends,

A few room foibles, some rectifiable, others more difficult. I'm guessing it's a listed building which precludes the use of double glazing - this leads to some condensation and road noise (at least in room I stayed in). It's not a busy road , and I'm not used to any traffic noise - so probably not a problem for many....
