Had booked a table and turned up for a quick business lunch. Both had the Ham Hock with Eggs and triple cooked chips. Really really lovely. Service was excellent as always. Wishing a speedy recovery to the Owner Craig.

After visiting for our anniversary last year, we recommended the hotel for a friend's Birthday celebration and they were not disappointed. Lovely grounds, fabulous food and great suites in the main house. Some of our party stayed in a Mews room, also very happy. This is a traditional hotel, slightly quirky, nice people though, we will return.

Attended this hotel for a group meeting with Buffet 1 on the conference menu included. It did theoretically contain all that was listed, I suppose. Slightly stale mini Hovis type loaves with the top cut off and some dip dumped on, mini spring rolls, a sliver of bruschetta with a piece of very hot vegetable on top and a huge... More

As always a great place, fabulous food and a relaxed stay. We are frequent visitors. Only slight issue this time. We stayed in Abbey Room and the bed is ridiculously creaky/squeaky, even when moving gently in sleep - kept me awake most of the night.

My fiancé and I have visited Ravenwood Hall three times now only for dining. The first time we visited we had afternoon tea, the second time we had breakfast and the third time we had dinner. We arrived earlier than expected which they were happy with and were served by Michael who is outgoing, welcoming and has a lovely sense... More

We only booked this hotel a few days prior to staying so as we drive up the beautiful wooded drive we were very pleasantly surprised. It is steeped in history & lovingly kept by a family. We were upgraded on arrival to a four poster bed suite. Our room was an amazing throw back in time with modern amenities. The... More

We stayed for 1 night in a room in the main house and ate dinner in the restaurant. Room - reasonably spacious - there was plenty of space for the travel cot provided by the hotel. The only downside was that the bed was really creaky - which meant none of us got a great nights sleep. Restaurant - the... More

We returned to Ravenwood having enjoyed our first stay so much. The hotel is a little shabby, but charming and relaxing. And the food is excellent. Unfortunately, having enquired in advance whether there was a taster menu available and been quoted £65 a head (pricey, but justifiable if the dishes warrant it) we were disappointed, having sat down to a... Very friendly and accommodating staff, willing to go out their way to help. Hotel facilities in good condition, with pleasant surroundings. Breakfast was standard fayre but tasty, well presented and enjoyable.

A rather grand looking historic hotel within approx. 5 acres, not far from Bury st Edmonds. 0ur rooms were compact with no views to speak of, but did come with four poster bed. The public rooms are rather grand and reflect the character of the building, everywhere was clean but in need of a good painting! a downside was that... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I can assure you we have taken every lengths possible to deal with the fly issue. We have had experts in whom said that they had been so busy with lots of hotels in the area suffering the same problem. We appreciate it is very unpleasant while eating... More
