Great hotel set in lovely grounds. Service excellent and food exceptional. My wife and I had a perfect few days at the Ravenwood Hall. The room was a little disappointing, but adequate - in the Mews which was, I suppose a budget room. The fixed menu was not brilliant and didn't change, we always had the a la carte which... More

We had a great Sunday on the terrace . With am excellent choice on the menu and not just the usual roast beef. They were also happy to do a half portion for my 10 year old daughter . Good service and an overall great experience . We all said we should come more often

We were there for my sons wedding. Everything was lovely and we had a fantastic day! The staff were excellent and the food was lovely. The breakfast in the morning was lovely too. The only downside was the fact that we had booked rooms and were orginally not allowed access until 2.30, when the wedding was 2pm. Some of us... More

Had a fantastic couple of days here. Beautiful old country house hotel in wonderful surrounding. The staff can't do enough for you and the food is amazing. Would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back.

Stayed here on a business visit and its a very nice country hotel. Nice rooms with clean and modern en suite. I had a room in the mews annexe which is a separate building to the main hotel so no noise from the bar or other guests. Breakfast was very nice and the restaurant is a large sunlit room over... Just returned from a superb 4 night stay in the main house. The food and service were sublime and the room very characterful with a fantastic bathroom. The hotel is very characterful with lovely antique furnishings which perfectly compliment the modern amenities you expect in a hotel room nowadays. The grounds are beautiful and well worth a walk around after... More

We stayed in Mews 5 for three nights and although the setting is pretty and it has an upmarket feel to it it is overpriced for the quality of the rooms. Mews 5 has a room overhead and you can hear just about every footstep made above you. The hot water in the bathroom must be on some sort of... More

A favourite hotel for us when visiting family in Bury St Edmunds. Always a warm welcome, well prepared (if a little quirky) rooms and happy, efficient staff. This time we stayed in St Edmundsbury Room - plenty of space, comfortable bed, smashing, if eccentric, bathroom and great shower. The bedroom is a little dark as the only window is actually... More
