Enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Old Pear Tree Bed & Breakfast. On the main A143 just outside Bury St. Edmunds. A welcome tea and cake on arrival was most welcome. Room was not to big , but was spotless with all you need provided. Minor gripe was bed has wooden posts, which you can walk into - ouch... More

My husband and I have just returned from a family wedding involving a two night stay at this delightful B & B. What a find! We were a little sceptical as we had originally booked with the previous owners and discovered on our arrival that we were in fact the first guests of the new owners. But quickly discovered that... Booked family into this delightful B&B. The welcome was very friendly and the room was very comfortable. Chose a double room with en suite. Spotless throughout. Breakfast was amazing, starting with fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by full English and toast. Nothing was too much trouble. This is a small B & B and guests really feel at home. If... More

An overnight stop in a lovely, clean and comfortable house set in a beautiful garden. Breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh coffee and a magnificent fry up. Lots of complimentary goodies and even his and hers fluffy soft dressing gowns!

The Old Pear Tree is a wonderfull B&B with very friendly hosts. We had the conference bedroom, which is very large and comfortable. Everything was very clean and nice decorated. The breakfast was unique and very very tasty. Perhaps the best one we ever had in the whole UK. It was a suberb stay!!! Many Thanks!!! Arne & Marén from... More

We visited the Old Pear Tree when coming to Bury St Edmunds (it's about 10 minutes drive away). It's on the A road, but traffic is minimal at night time. It's a lovely B&B, nicely laid out and well appointed. There is a garden which would be beautiful to sit out in in the summer, and plenty of countryside around... More

This is our second stray here and both times we have rated it the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The rooms are superbly appointed and meticulously clean, looking as though spring cleaning has just finished. The breakfast provides everything you could wish for including lovely fresh fruit (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries etc.) even in December, and the most flavoursome... More

We booked to stay here so we could go to a family wedding nearby. The Trip Advisor reviews are very accurate. Jenny was so helpful when we arrived late and nothing was too much trouble. In the rooms, everything has been thought of from wifi access and small torches in case you need them through to bottles of water. The... More
