This was our second visit and we will be back. Tastefully furnished rooms, sumptuous breakfast and just 10 minutes from Bury St Edmunds. A relaxed breakfast was enjoyed in the company of our hosts and fellow guests. Watch the birds on the feeder and sheep in the fields. We were able to use the lounge in the evening which added...

Made a return visit to see local relatives to find The Old Pear Tree under new management. If possible even better than before. Supremely comfortable rooms, wonderfully welcoming hosts, delicious breakfast (bacon fantastic) with the addition of home produced new season honey. What a treat. Only sorry we weren't staying longer. Will definitely be back!

We were in the area for a wedding, which meant our check-in time and crawl home time were slightly unusual, but Jane and Garry couldn't have been more accommodating. The B&B had been recently refurbished and was beautifully decorated. We loved our room, cosy in a cottage kind of way but modern in appointments, including the en-suite. Everywhere was perfectly...

A lovely B&B which suited our new family perfectly. The large family room, with en suite, was beautifully decorated, and the owners Jane and Garry were very welcoming and friendly. In fact after a long day on the motorway, Jane was kind enough to offer us coffee and cake on our arrival, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was also...

The postal address may say Whepstead, but the property actually lies on the A143 Bury St Edmunds to Haverhill road, about five miles out of Bury. There are free parking spaces outside, and you can be assured of a warm welcome and a very hospitable stay. The accommodation is quiet, clean and comfortable; the gardens are attractive; and the service...

I had to visit Bury St Edmunds to visit a very sick relative and needed a place to stay at very short notice. The reviews here attracted me and were completely accurate. After a 250 mile drive and seeing my poor sick Uncle I was so worn out I couldn't even find the front door and was rescued by Jane...

My partner and I stayed here about a week ago for one night before a wedding. The property is beautiful and just how I had imagined it to be. The hosts are lovely and even drove us to a nice restaurant for dinner and picked us up when we were ready. They cooked breakfast in the morning which was one...
