Stayed here for our wedding anniversary . Room wonderful, staff friendly, food excellent. There was even a happy anniversary card in our room from the hotel!! Fantastic! It's right in the centre of beautiful Bury St Edmunds, close to shops and restaurants . A wonderful place to stay. I will defiantly return for another .

We were able to secure a booking at the last minute so were really happy to be able to stay here. We had a beautiful clean airy room with views of the courtyard and brewery beyond (which is at the centre of Bury). The full English breakfast was spot-on and the family running the Chantry were lovely. One reason to...

Thank you, Chantry, for looking after us so beautifully and taking so much trouble to make our stay enjoyable. From the calm, quiet, spacious room, deeply comfortable bed and sofa, lashings of hot water plus big, fluffy towels to the fresh fruit, delicious kippers, hot fragrant coffee for breakfast and first class travel advice on the best cross-country route home,...

Really nice two nights at the Chantry, well appointed and clean hotel in the center of town. A good breakfast and many food options within a short walk. Its own private car park also which is a rarity in Bury as parking seems to be at a premium. Definitley reccomended.

We stayed for one night in a deluxe room next to the road. We had an excellent experience, the welcome at reception with a tray of tea and coffee, the immaculately presented room which included a separate sitting room, the ultra comfortable bed and the superb breakfast. Everything was spotless and well cared for and I cannot praise this establishment...

Hi Jazzandy, Thankyou for your review of The Chantry Hotel. Very pleased to hear the road was not a problem and do advise guests that we have rooms away from the road if they wish. Just an overnight stay, but we were upgraded on arrival. The room was very clean and well decorated. A very comfortable bed along with the pillows. A nice location and very quiet at night. Breakfast was varied, and served with local produce. We will stay again.

Fabulous place, stayed for a friends 40th, extremely close to town centre but far enough so you can rest peacefully. Friendly welcome; my room was a single room, perfect, comfy and 'clean' very clean. Very close to places of interest and shops. The building itself is beautiful, I don't drive but I did see a car park. Staff at breakfast...

My partner and I spent a weekend break in this lovely family owned and run hotel. We booked a superior double, which was decorated elegantly with an antique Georgian bed and desk.
