We had some friends stay for a visit from the west country so we wanted to take them to somewhere nice. the Cadogan did not let us down. The food was great and the menu wide and varied. The food was well cooked and presented. Our friends thought it was great quality and value for money. Jack manages the place... More

We came across this place by chance but we're not disappointed! Booked a table for 7.45 and we given plenty of time to sit in the lounge area with drinks before being shown to our table. The food was excellent and service was good despite there being a party of 11 and lots of other diners.

My wife and I stayed here for one night while visiting the area for a friends party. Booked through hotels.com we arrived early and from the outset the staff were friendly. The interior of the pub has been modernised to be a nice eating place and is part of a small local chain. A good selection of drinks and a... More

I was invited to a corporate event, opera and a posh picnic dinner, and happened across the Cadogan Arms by chance doing an Internet search for last minute accommodation. What a great find! Room was lovely, comfy bed, nice bathroom and very clean. The only downside was the walls are very thin so I was awake for ages, once in... More

My friend and I went to the Cadogan for a Sunday dinner after booking a table. When we first got there it was either a lack of communication or us not understanding normal procedures for sitting down at a restaurant, which left us sitting at the bar for 15 minutes even though our table was ready. (I think it was... More

Wanted somewhere where our group could talk & have some great food - well the surroundings were lovely & conversation was easy heard. The white wine (no:13) was excellent, but unfortunately that was the only positive of the meal. We started with confusion with regards to what or what wasn't available on the entree - having chosen the sunflower bread... More

We went for lunch and it was disappointing. I had the salad and sandwich, which was nothing more than cold ham slapped on 2 pieces of bread. We also tried the egg sandwich which had more mayo than egg. The service was poor. I am glad we wasted our time here for lunch because dinner would have been a more... More

The last time I ate here was about 7 years ago and I am still amazed with the high class food that was served. Fresh, local produce, cooked to perfection and served with a smile. Simply amazing, un rushed and perfect. The staff were engaged and genuinely proud of the food they were serving and the environment they work in.

Have visited here on several occasions. Relaxed atmosphere but still quite sophisticated. A good range of drinks, locally sourced food, great service and attention to details. There is an allotment and chickens at the back of the property which is a nice addition obviously providing produce for the kitchen. We always look forward to visiting.

Previous visits ok but never expected such poor quality and service Very poor waited an hour for a starter not up to scratch Turned up at 6 took until 8.45 for 3 courses . Mayo like runny butter certainly would not return after this experience.
