Like many old buildings, now in use as hotels, the White Lion is on multiple levels. Three steps up, two down, turn left, up four and follow the corridor, hard left at the end and our room was the second on the right. Compact is the best way to describe our twin. And hot, my it was hot. But the... More

Aldeburgh is lovely but generally overpriced - amazing what some businesses can get away with with the captive market. This is a nice hotel & we had a lovely stay but it is overpriced - you're paying for the view essentially. Our sea view room was very small. At £235 a night on a Friday & Sat, you might be... More

The hotel is perfectly located with its stunning sea views. The room was clean and fresh however the double bed was on the small side and very uncomfortable to sleep on. The shower trickled and needed to be more powerful. The bar has been decorated to perfection and stunning. We will go back but next time we will ask for... More

Our room was super, spacious, well appointed and with sea view. We found all the staff charming and helpful. When a question was asked or action required. These things were dealt with in a most efficient & subtle way. The kitchen was excellent and great value for it's all inclusive nature.

A very nice old seaside hotel keeping up high standards. Excellent location right on the sea front with plenty of parking. An enchanting resort totally unspoilt. A little over priced. The room was tastefully decorated and furnished but quite small. 3 restaurants so plenty of choice.

We visited the White Lion for an overnight stay, and paid for a sea view room, which offered fantastic views of the coast. Our room was comfortable and we received a warm welcome from staff. We are at Sea Spice, the relatively new Indian restaurant on sight and were very impressed. We had a tasty breakfast in the morning and... More

Repeat visit, comfortable hotel and attentative staff in a nice location. Non sea view room was adequate for an overnight stay. Ate at the restaurant in the evening which was busy but were served promptly and the food good.

Arrived to a very warm welcome. Room very comfortable however needs a freshen up on the paintwork as looking a little warn. Bathroom compact. shower door had unwanted gunge around the bottom edge. Bed very comfortable and clean. Very bad reception on the TV. We had amazing weather during our stay and it was a delight to find a fan... More

This was our first visit to Aldeburgh and we loved it, this was n no small part due to our stay at the Whie Lion. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the food was excellent, the hotel has two restaurants we ate in both and although very different we were impressed with both but particularly with the curry... We enjoyed the White Lion. We stayed in a standard room which was very comfortable. We appreciated the tea and coffee making and the free wi-fi. The only downside were the seagulls that never seem to sleep. I know the hotel can't do anything about it but it might be worth taking some ear plugs if you plan to have... More
