Eaton house is an old convent school, perhaps it was the thought of all those strict nuns and somewhat intimidating entrance hall that made a previous reviewer say there was a 'curt welcome'. I found Karen extremely helpful and friendly. All the rooms on the beach side have great views of the sea although one road back from the beach....

We chose this place on the strength of its excellent reviews, and we weren't disappointed. Yes, the parking is a little limited, but sufficient. Yes, it's up two flights of stairs, on the top floor of this amazing old Victorian building. But the views are good, the rooms are big, light and airy and beautifully furnished, the lounge is gorgeous...

Although the view from the window and the accommodation in my double room were very nice, the curt welcome I received from the owner was not good. I was very quickly shown the accommodation and then abandoned. No conversation was made. Breakfast was adequate but I was left on my own again while the owner and her friends sat in...

Nice large bright rooms with views of sea. Lovely landlady. Yes this is not your usual B&B, but for a relaxed stay where you can feel totally at home, it takes a bit of beating. Its like having your own flat in Aldeburgh for a few days.

My partner and I stayed in this lovely B&B in October 2014. It has to be said it is an unusual B&B experience but one certainly worth visiting. The breakfast was lovely and our sleep was uninterrupted, so we would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

I do have to agree with some of the reviews which say Eaton House could do with a little more TLC. We were expecting an ensuite room but as we were only staying one night it was not a problem. It was a bit off putting to see a large broken poorly painted toy donkey in the garden which coupled...

I rarely write reviews... simply due to time... and I've stayed in a lot of places. But this b&b was a delightful, unexpected beauty of a b&b. The garden view from our room (white-washed, soft linen, stylish touches of fabric here and there) was absolutely stunning. I couldn't stop drinking it in. Do not worry if there is only a...

Recently I stayed with my boyfriend at Eaton House Aldeburgh. Since then I have read a review signed Brian on 'Top Rooms.com' which gives a completely false impression. We were warmly welcomed by our host, the tv worked and internet was available. The clean rooms and wonderful views were excellent value for money. We will be going back.

Have to say was expecting an Alistair Sawday type boutique B&B. this it certainly is not. Its a bit rough at the seams and reminds me of my student days when you shared a Kitchen off the corridor. That said, its quite charming in a way with the views and character of the building; You almost feel you are part...

We've just spent two lovely days at Eaton House. Although it looks a little bit intimidating at first sight, don't let this put you off. Venture to the top of the stairs and meet Karen who is a wonderful host, and Ruby her little blind dog. The rooms are big and bright with wonderful views. We had one of the...
