We got married in Lichfield recently and decided to book St. Johns House for the wedding night and the night before. We called ahead and spoke to Dan - he was so accommodating, he remembered that we had mentioned our wedding during the booking and so offered to get our room ready by 1pm (even though they had a wedding...

Wow what an amazing special birthday experience at St Johns House. Everything ran smoothly, the stress was taken from me by Dan and Sarah the owners. I hired the whole of the quaint boutique hotel including the bedrooms for my family and close friends. I highly recommend St Johns House for any celebration. A fabulous experience in a beautiful setting...

Yesterday Tamiko and I held our wedding reception at St Johns House. Our 54 guests had a superb time and Dan and Elly's attention to detail was second to none. The food was absolutely superb, opening with a salmon, crab and prawn starter and then moving onto lamb and dauphinois potatoes which were cooked to perfection. The dessert of chocolate...

My daughter decided this was just the right place to hold her 40th birthday party and we were delighted. Every effort was made by the staff to make us all feel at home and nothing was too much trouble for them. The house is magnificent, decorated beautifully and in keeping with the age of the building. We had a large...

I stayed here on a business trip on 11 April. Charming hosts (and their helpers), comfortable room and bed, great wi-fi and a good quality breakfast at a very reasonable price. Decent nearby eating choices for supper that were ok for a single traveller as well. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This was a Christmas present to us, taken in April, but well worth the wait! The room was huge and beautifully appointed with a large, very comfortable bed, a lovely bathroom - with bath especially requested!! - and a great selection of teas and coffees PLUS a home-made cookie in the afternoons, delicious! The breakfast menu was full and varied...

Lovely old house beautifully and recently refurbished. I had a small single room in the stable annexe for £75, which was excellent value: comfortable bed, very quiet, spotless ensuite. Breakfast, included in the rate, was really excellent: home-made granola, eggs benedict, varied fresh fruit in profusion. Right in the middle of Lichfield, but plenty of secure car parking in courtyard...

A lovely hotel full of charm and character in the centre of Lichfield. We received a warm welcome from Dan & Elly, and all the staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. All the rooms are individually styled, we stayed in The Cottage, which was very spacious. There were lovely touches, like the fresh milk in the fridge...
