Jayne is a fantastic hostess, albeit only meeting her the once, even just seeing her the once during my 4 nights here, she is a very nice person, extremely helpful, buying me nut free bread, directions into town, cleaning and tidying the room, replenishing the food stocks when I was away from the room. Coming back to what feels like...

This a B&B that I love. You have your own suite with a beautiful continental breakfast and facilities. I endorse all the comments below, if you are staying in Wells this is well worth trying out. We have been coming to Wells for 44 years to stay with my brother but his house was being refurbished, Ashford House came with...

Stayed in 'ROSE'. Lovely room with compact ensuite. Good facilities and lovely continental breakfast in the morning. Was a 10 min walk into Wells centre. We visited the cathedral and enjoyed the hospitality of a couple of watering holes (the Crown and the Globe). Will definitely be back. Thanks.

Enjoying this place. We are visiting on our way to Cornwall. There are four of us in total, including one eight month old baby and a lively four year old. Husband fancied a B&B instead of the admittedly-soulless Premier Inn (other soulless overnight accommodations are available) but I was a bit dubious as I'm an unsociable, awkward plonker at the...

Jayne is a welcoming pleasant hostess, her accommodation is well planned out, clean and nicely decorated. The location is ideal for exploring all the surrounding counties as well as within walking distance to the beautiful Wells Cathedral. Our stay (mum & me)was for 5 nights and Jaynes local knowledge and friendly company made the stay more enjoyable, along with the...

We were lucky with the weather which helped with our overall excellent impression, the town is an easy walk away and we were able to do a lovely walk round Ebbor Gorge and Wookey Hole without needing the car. The rooms themselves are spacious and well equipped. The breakfast is of a continental style and ready in the fridge whenever...

I wanted to write and thank you for an excellent stay at Ashford House over the weekend. It was the perfect place to stay while I visited family. Rose Suite is excellent - some lovely, homely touches. The furniture, furnishings, food and refreshments are impressive. The garden surroundings are beautiful. My wife and I have just spent three nights in this delightful B&B guest house in the luxury Rose Suite. Mrs Jayne Wood, the owner, was most welcoming. The accommodation was superb, with breakfast provided in the room. In addition there was spacious private parking, free wi-fi, a 30 inch smart television, fridge, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. Highly recommended.

This is a well appointed B&B, private accommodation for two, high finish in room, super shower room, facilities to prepare and eat in room. Outside space to relax. Walk into city is just a few minutes. Cathedral and attractions are close by. Clarks village and Cheddar gorge are just a short drive.
