I would give this 5 stars, lovely position, well presented hotel, very clean, friendly staff, great food. BUT room 34 is one of two rooms directly above a function room. On two nights out of three, there were parties in the function room. The very loud music caused objects to vibrate in the bedroom and it did not finish until...

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay in the Swan in every respect.......but........whilst the food was excellent on 2 of the days, it appears that the chef then had a "day off" and the standards really dropped - "cold plates and burnt food syndrome" is how we would describe the breakfast, and the evening meal similarly "fell short" of the standards...

Would definitely recommend this hotel for location and value for money. Great location, across from the cathedral with easy access to the local attractions and free parking. Really nice breakfast. Staff were really helpful.

Arrived and booked in ,great welcome ,we were given room 22 which was great although as it was one of the coldest days of 2016 we had a bit of trouble with the heating in the bathroom .on going out around the town we mentioned the fault which was corrected by the time we returned . This is a lovely hotel right in the middle of Wells. There is a view of the cathedral from the lounge and local shops and the market are just down the street. The rooms are modern but the building is old and full of character. I would thoroughly recommend. I booked through central booking and was offered £136. I said...

Had my 50th here at the weekend, the venue and service were absolutely brilliant. Thank you for making it so memorable, I will certainly be recommending it. The views of the Cathedral are stunning and Wells itself is just a beautiful city. I will be returning without a doubt.

My wife and I took a short break at the hotel to take advantage of the opportunity to see the illuminated carnival in the City, on Friday evening. The room was very comfortable, the staff we met were all friendly and helpful. We had booked B&B, but had dinner on each, of our two days stay, in the restaurant. We...

We stayed here for a short break and I'm so pleased I picked this hotel which is situated in the centre of Wells. Each member of staff was friendly and the hotel had a comfy feel about it. We booked for half board and the food was excellent. At breakfast there was a choice from both the Continental and the...

The location is very good, center of Wells convenient for cathedral, bishops palace etc. also the market and the town with all Wells has to offer. The room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were welcoming, despite a minor issue with dining time. The food I enjoyed, some unusual selections but nicely cooked and presented. However I would warn you...
