I still haven't received my refund, which they promised to refund within two weeks. I am very disappointed. They are not replaying to my question. Please don't book it and avoid it, very bad customer service.
Value for money is exceptional. Cleaniness was extremely good. Liz on reception was amazing and could not help enough. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. The surrounds are not exactly pretty, but it is brilliant for its location to the nature reserves etc.
Stayed here for 2 night break to see Glastonbury and visit Wells Cathedral and the Cheddar Gorge. First time away since February, we felt really anxious re covid rules being observed, but we were put at ease on arrival. Lovely welcome by the friendly and efficient receptionist. Lots of antibac stations. Room was absolutely spotless. From the hotel it was a 3 minute drive into town, 25mins to Wells and 40 mins to Cheddar. A little trip away saved our sanity! Lovely.
Stayed here for two nights. Nice welcome from young lady on check in, who took the time to tell us places to see etc and even gave us a map to use. Room was basic but clean and tidy. This hotel is in a good location for visiting Glastonbury or Wells. We walked up to the Tor one evening to see the sunset, this is a must do whilst here. All in all a great stay with everything you need on your doorstep.
We were really comfortable and enjoyed the stay. We could easily walk into central Glastonbury and found this Travelodge clean and it followed good hygiene procedures. With the windows closed we found it very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although we had access to takeaways and a Tesco right there, as it is located in a retail park we walked into central Glastonbury for meals. We could have got something for breakfast at the Tescos or Esso however preferred to walk to the local Morrisons cafe for a hot breakfast (where we didn't have to order more than we needed). We did have one breakfast at the local Brewer's Fayre (we had to book in advance) however we didn't need such large breakfasts. We had to be careful when we opened the windows to air out one of our rooms - the mornings were best, before the Kentucky Fried Chicken place started cooking. As long as we did this we didn't experience unwanted cooking smells in the room. I would have liked to stay at a Travelodge where there were trees and not in a retail park but in fact it was quiet and we spent a lot of time out walking in nature. So I was pleasantly surprised and would stay there again. We did arrive 25 minutes before check in and weren't allowed to check in early but fair enough as they do require people to pay. I was worried there'd be a crowd at check in time so we came a bit afterwards, but there wasn't a queue at all.…
