I was almost afraid to visit this site as I’d read such good reviews if it but happily, it lived up to my expectations. We have another visit booked, for a weekend meet-up with family members in their motor home in October and I can’t wait. It was great being able to walk up to Glastonbury Tor from the site and while we were there, we spotted the balloons in the distance from the Bristol Balloon Fiesta.

This is a caravan site that raises the bar on facilities.toilet and showers were the best I’ve ever seen.staff were very friendly and helpful.it is expensive but I think it’s justified as the staff are plentiful and keep this place immaculate and well run. The only downside was the Wi fi .we paid for premium which was supposed to be ten times faster than the free.this was very disappointing as throughout our week we had little to no WiFi .the park itself is not huge so I think the WiFi could be improved on easily. On a side note and this is nothing to do with the park but it’s to do with certain people who stay at the park.they know who they are.As this is dog friendly park with plenty of dog bins and even dog poo bag dispenser (the first I’ve seen on any park)in the dog walk field yet lo and behold there was still dog mess in a few places .there is NO EXCUSE for this and the dog owners who do this should be ashamed.

This is the best site we have ever stayed at. It is quite expensive, but you do get what you pay for and it is very obvious that they plow a lot of money back into the park and it’s facilities. It is beautifully landscaped and kept. The amenities blocks are clean, modern and functional and the staff very professional and friendly. The on-site catering is good and great fun. We thank everyone there for a lovely and peaceful holiday. It is adults only and dog friendly, again with thoughtful and useful facilities. Poo bag stations and bins and an excellent and dog wash. Very well done Old Oaks!! We will be back!!

This site really does live up to the hype, it is beautiful; immaculate grounds and 5 star facilities. Different take away options for every night and a great breakfast option if you don’t want to cook. Staff are welcoming and friendly, site shop is very well equipped. Great walks in the area. Absolutely no negatives, it really is lovely.

I've been to Old Oaks 4 years in a row and there is no doubt it's one of the best equipped, beautifully manicured sites you will find. However this time there were a couple of thinsg that we wnated to highlight to the wardens but they didn't appear to be interested. They simply said that if we had an issue we should call the out of our number. I would prefer that they address the issues and try to manage the site better rather than wait for issues to come up which they then have to address. 1. We were there for 5 nights and either side of us we had had 3 different guests. That's a high turnover for a summer period. 2. We felt that there were a higher number of groups at the site with 4 people on 4 of the pitches just in Top Oaks alone. This creates an increase in noise and also increases the nuber of people across the site including shower facilities. 3. We had a tent next to us for 1 night with 4 guys who had pitched on the grass really close to our motor home. They were noisy up until the small hours and then from 6 am in the mornign leaving early. When I raised this reception said that it should have only been 2 people - my question is why is the pitch not better monitored for number of people and pitch position? 4. The two pitches Top Oaks 11 and 10 were the same family and they had 5 dogs between them which created quite a noise. So many of the reviews are rightly positive but I felt that I wanted to share some of our negative experiences as the reception had not addressed them when raised. Hopefully they will review and the park will continue to be amazing goinf forwards.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Old Oaks recently. We appreciate your positive comments and welcome all feedback as this enables us to make improvements and review procedures when necessary. 2021 has been a funny old year for our industry, with demand outstripping supply, due to the restrictions on foreign travel. We've certainly experienced some obvious differences on a number of levels and hope that 2022 will see some return to normality. Pre-covid, the majority of peak season bookings would be for longer stays and one night bookings were usually very rare. However, after the disaster that was 2020, most parks have found that guests booking patterns have had to fit in with what's available, rather than choose the dates to suit them. We're sure you might appreciate that parks have huge losses to recuperate and therefore Old Oaks has been making efforts to maximise occupancy, meaning shorter bookings have been more frequent, in order to fill in the gaps. It is regrettable that in this case, it caused problems for you and we are, of course, sorry for this. The majority of bookings at Old Oaks have always been and remain, for couples, ie 2 people on one pitch, however, we do occasionally get 4. You will always find that friends will visit each others pitches to eat and socialise together. We would not knowingly allow 4 people in one tent though, as you rightly say, this increases noise levels. It seems the 4 people in one tent booking has slipped under the radar here. Luckily though, in terms of facilities, we are lucky enough to have a higher number of showers and toilets per head, and therefore, don't experience issues on that front. It's a real shame that you were disturbed by your neighbours. Not what you want on your hard-earned holiday. As you know from previous visits we are very hands on and will try our best to make sure issues are dealt with swiftly. We don't however, have someone patrolling the park through the night as fortunately, incidents such as described are very rare. We do have a duty warden phone, which can be contacted at any time and had you called, someone would have attended at the time. We understand that after you spoke to one of our team in reception in the morning and the information was radioed through to a nearby warden, who came up to speak to the campers, however, they had already left. We do hope that you'll visit us again in the future. Very best wishes from all the team :)
