We noticed there hadn't been any recent reviews for this quaint little gem, but stayed there for a quiet weekend getaway last month and it was (quite frankly) faultless! If you're looking for a nice cosy room in the village of Dunster that's more affordable than the others (yet probably just as perfect), then look no further. Thanks Susie and...

With typical modesty the website for Butter Cross calls it "Four Star Accommodation", but where on earth do they lose a star? This is perfect in every way, from the warmth of the welcome offered by Susie and Robert to their beautiful home, the comfort of the spacious room and king-sized bed, the quality of the bathroom products to the...

The welcome by Susie was lovely, we felt at ease straight away. The double room was extremely spacious, with a very comfy bed and the view from the window of the castle was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent; fresh fruit, cereal and a fantastic full english, cooked by Robert. We only stayed the one night but will definitely return. Thank you...

We stayed there for three nights because our usual B & B could not accommodate us. From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome. Our room was large and comfortable, with views across the valley to the famous Dunster castle. The breakfasts were superb with everything a full English could offer. Robert was the 'short-order chef' and Susie...

My friend and I stayed for three nights and we had a fantastic time.... nothing was too much trouble for Susie and Robert, and we shared a lot of fun and friendly 'banter'.... Robert had even cleared the garage so that we were able to park our motor bikes out of the rain and on the 'flat'.... breakfast was excellent...
