We stayed at Chedwell Cottage to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, Sue and Malcolm, along with their daughter Hannah, were perfect hosts. We were welcomed on arrival by Sue with a pot of tea and a home made strawberry... More

Overnight stay as a family birthday surprise. Sue, & Malcolm were fabulous, friendly hosts. Comfortable bed, quiet room. Lovely typical cottage style. Fantastic breakfast. Loved Sue's daughter who served breakfast. Very nice lady. The choice of food was wonderful even down to a choice of eggs, Chicken, Duck or Guinea Fowl. Home made preserves...delicious. Really nice friendly B&B. Would definitely... More

We stayed here recently on a mini break. It is well situated and only a short walk to the centre with parking outside. We had a warm welcome complete with tea and cakes. The bedroom had everything we would want including our daily Kit kats! The Criddle family go out of their way to help without being intrusive. Even the... More

Me and my partner stayed here recently and I have to say it is one of the nicest B&Bs we have stayed in. We arrived early and were welcomed into Chedwell cottage by Sue, the owner. We stayed in Room 2, with a large en-suite, bath and shower, and a good double bed, TV, tea/ coffee making facilities. We each... More

A delightful near 300 year old cottage, very homely with amazing home produced food, room was very comfortable. This friendly family run B&B is high on my "return to" B&B The breakfast was extensive which had me beaten but next time I will do it justice. Also for the youngsters free wi-fi. This property is ideally situated for all the... More

Lovely B&B. Sue, the host, was so friendly and helpful right from the first phone call we made to book the room. We were made very welcome and the room was quiet and had everything we needed. Good location - handy for the Gorge and the town and Sue even had a leaflet on hand that listed all the recommended... More
