My partner, son and myself needed a few days away, so thought we’d visit Bath. Found this hotel on booking.com. It seemed like a little family owned business and we were right. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lady who was very friendly who give us a warm welcome. She handed us a leaflet which give us a map of Bath with a whole lot of restaurants on (which come in very handy). She showed us up to our room we stayed in room 3 which was very cosy and clean. We unpacked and freshened up the shower was AMAZING! We headed out into the town centre which was literally a 10 min walk ( didn’t drive the car the whole time we were there as we were so close to town) the beds were super comfy, the small toiletries that were in there room for us to use were from The White company, (love that). We also had a Kettle which fresh milk and plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast was lovely freshly cooked to order we had a traditional English breakfast with fresh juice, coffee and croissants. Everything was very clean and tidy. A highly recommended place to stay. One small thing is the car park is not very big, we were ok as we managed to get on the drive and that’s where the car stay until we left but I noticed another guesses had to park in the road, not sure if there had to pay to park there or the hotel had spaces on the road for there guesses to park without them paying for parking. All in all a very pleasant place to stay, if we visit Bath again we would definitely stay here.

We stayed midweek for three nights and we were greeted by a friendly young lady who showed us to our room (No.4) and gave us lots of useful information. We were a bit concerned that we were next to the reception and the room would suffer from noise and asked if it would be possible to move, but they were fully booked so this was not possible. As it turned out we needn't of worried, as we hardly heard a thing from outside of our room all stay. The room was beautifully furnished and had everything we could need to make our stay comfortable, including a different surprise portion of cake left for us each day. It also had it's own outside space, which could be good in the summer if you wanted to sit outside but wanted some privacy. The guest house is just a short 10 minute walk in to town, but there are also some lovely parks to walk through before you get there. The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold choices, with the eggs Benedict being especially good. The staff and Toni the owner could not of been more welcoming and they went out of there way to wish my wife a happy birthday with a cupcake with a candle at breakfast and the use of the kitchen fridge to chill our own bottle of fizz. Over all I would highly recommend the Chestnut House and would very much like to go back again in the summer time.

Toni greeted us on our arrival after quite a long drive from Heathrow and a 2 week cruise around Norway. In spite of the windy and rainy weather we nevertheless followed his suggestions and walked into town to see the sights. Our room was on the ground floor in the front of the building but was nevertheless very quiet. The bed was a tad smaller than what we expected but comfortable nevertheless. The bath was nice and deep and there was plentiful hot water. Breakfast was an absolute delight with fresh fruit salad, cereals, a myriad of yoghurts, plenty of delicious coffee, toast, eggs any way freshly prepared, including eggs Florentine, full English breakfast and porridge. Juice was also on offer. Toni helped us with great suggestions for tours in and around Bath which were very enjoyable. Thanks for a great time!

I booked Chestnuts house for a weekend break for myself and my Fiancé as a surprise for his birthday, I booked after looking at reviews and location and even after reading the amazing reviews our stay still exceeded expectations. The location is less then a 10 minute walk into the town centre, the B&B itself has iff road parking, the house is so warm and inviting on arrival, the room is exceptionally clean and tidy, with one of the most comfortable beds we’ve stayed in while away from home! The bathroom is spacious and again extremely clean with a lovely shower and fluffy towels! And to top it all off during our 2 night stay we were made by Tony the most amazing breakfast! I literally could not find a fault with chestnuts house! I’ve already recommended to family and friends! Perfect weekend stay! Thank you
