We had booked into the Abbey Rectory after a friend had recommended it.We were expecting something good as we had read reviews and heard how wonderful it was but it's fair to say that our expectations were completely exceeded. The hosts were attentive, prompt and very inviting without being intrusive and genuinely made us feel very at home and very... More

We spent a month traveling through the UK, nearly 20 different bed and breakfasts and Abbey Rectory was the best one that we stayed at. Gary and his wife were welcoming but gave us privacy. The room was impeccably clean with good wifi. The bathroom was roomy and well stocked and the bed was comfortable with curtains that blocked the... More

Bath was the end point of my destination after walking the Cotswold Way. The Abbey Rectory, for someone with no car, was a bit out of the center of town, but not so much to make it inconvenient. The upside was that is was quiet and peaceful, out of the noise of the city. I was looking for a couple... More

This is by far the best b&b we have ever stayed in! The attention to detail and the care given by the owners is wonderful. We were made to feel so welcome and the decor is stunning. If we go to Bath again we would definitely be looking to stay here again, I can't recommend enough!!

This was our second visit to Bath and so we had no hesitation in booking a room at the Abbey Rectory. It is a little more expensive than most bed and breakfast places but oh so worth the extra for the luxury! A different room this time but just as comfortable. Superb bed.... superb shower... and a superb location with... More

This was the last b&b that we stayed in during our travels to Scotland and England. Again, we had another winning experience. We had a large room with a comfortable American king size bed. The bathroom was luxurious and I absolutely loved the rain shower when washing my hair. Breakfast offered a variety of options from which to choose. Night... More

We spent a weekend there due to a wedding in the area. This is a superb property, beautifully renovated in an excellent location. We cannot fault the experience, the hosts were superb, the rooms excellent with a very comfortable bed, breakfast superb and the location was a quick walk into the city. Highly recommend this place and would return if... More

A lovely B&B, located just outside of town. There is ample private parking and is located off the main roads. The B&B is very quiet and very smart and well finished. If your looking for a relaxing place to stay I highly recommend. Free wifi, broadband, good fast speed if needed. Only a few things that we would have liked... More

Great welcome from the hosts (with pot of tea in guests' sitting room). Fabulously-kept property, with large-proportioned rooms. Abbey Rectory is located in a quiet close (about 25 minutes walk to Bath centre). Our room was extremely clean, spacious, comfortable, well-equipped. Breakfast was high standard - plenty of choice. We hope to return soon and we have no hesitation in... More
