I stayed here in May this year with my Mother and Sister for a weekend break in the family room. I booked it at the last minute and though slightly put off by some of the reviews on here I was on a bugdet and went ahead. I arrived almost an hour later than the time agreed expecting who knows...

We stayed here for our honeymoon this august and found it to be a lovely place. Sheila was very welcoming and took on board any concerns we had. We would definitely recommend it.

We found the roman guest house a very good place to stay in bath in walking distance to the town center. We stayed two nights with our three upgrown children. We had two nice rooms, the one facing to the main street with a remarkable panoramic view, the abbey in the distance. Sheila gave us an very warm welcome, practical...

We stayed at Roman City Guest House this July, and enjoyed the warm and friendly hospitality of Sheila and her family. We were made feel so welcome there. The house was beautiful, and breakfast superb. An interesting feature was that the house stood on top of a railway, trains running underneath our feet, literally. Great! Thank you Sheila, if we...

We still recommend this place overall, but should clarify for other travelers things we did not realize ourselves. We asked for an en suite bathroom and were told we had one. When we arrived, we found that the bedroom had a shower and sink but not a toilet. The proprietress then told us that the full bathroom was on the...

I stayed here thinking that everybody gets some bad reviews at some point but lesson learned in a big way. the house itself looks very impressive from outside until you step in to the Lions den. The owner Shiela tries to make herself out to be something she most devanatly isn't Sean on the other hand seems a really nice...

I am very sorry that your stay was not what we strive for. It is difficult to please all of the people all of the time but am more than happy to work 7 days a week from early mornings often until late at night to please the probably 95% of the sincere and genuine guests over the last ten...

We had a great time at this lovely restored end-unit Victorian townhouse, located just across the river from central Bath on Bathwick Hill. Sheila and George Davis were excellent hosts, and the property was very clean and well-maintained. Central Bath (Roman Baths / Pump Room) is an easy 10-15 minute walk across the Pulteny Bridge. Although located above a train...

Wonderful welcome in this B&B. Sheila and Sean make everything for a warm welcome so that the stay of their hosts is royal and the breakfast wonderful! The house seems to have a Victorian style, the rooms with four-poster bed are very well decorated. They are not very noisy in spite of the train so close. Toilet are on the...
