I had unfortunately not had time to read the reviews on Dorset Villa Guest House or I would never have gone there. I left the place two hours after I arrived and this is the only time I have ever done that. On arrival at the address, I had to make a total of four phone calls before anyone answered...

For £40 a night including breakfast I wasnt expecting The Ritz. Tried ringing the hotel throughout the morning to see when I could check in but no answer. Left my details on the answerphone but didnt get a call back. Arrived around lunchtime, hoping to drop off a bag, but no one answered the door. Again tried ringing. I decided...

We were not expecting gold taps and velvet curtains for £64 however it doesn't cost much to give the place a clean. We were also charged a £7.50 parking charge that we were only made aware of in the very small print, slightly annoying as we only stayed overnight and could have parked in the car park nearby. When we...

We were booked into Dorset Villa for one night (8 December) to visit the Christmas market, which is always a treat. The room which was advertised as a double was in fact a single room with a small double bed crammed into it. The ensuite that had been advertised was a bathroom across the hall next to the top of...

We had booked this guest house through booking.com. on the day of arrival I called to say we would be arriving late when the owner told me that booking.com had relocated us to another hotel as they were full. Unfortunately booking.com didnt make us aware of the change. We arrived at the other hotel only to find out it had...

Terrible stay within a grubby, mouldy, damp, dirty and dusty bedroom, Has an en-suite which is handy but the shower cubicle had mould and plaster slapped over it to try to make it look better, the shower starts to smell after use. Old fashioned furnishings which would be fine if they were not covered with a layer of dust and...

I was lucky not to have bed bags but the place is very dirty and should be closed. I would not stay there ever again. Everything from flood to sling is covered with thick layer of dust. The smell of dump in the room.

Arrived just after 9pm after a long drive in heavy traffic. Found the place ok but then discovered it was locked and there was a key code to gain entry. Guess what - they don't provide the code before you arrive. No problem I thought, there was a phone number on the sign and on the door. I phoned it...

The dust and cobwebs are free! Rooms have been cleaned in years, and the grubby curtains did not even close over the window. Bathroom wash basin grimy. Breakfast cheap sausages unable to eat. Left early after one night. And the parking expensive. Over all I do not recommend this B&B

Not a friendly or clean place. Parking costs extra. Rooms tiny and grubby.Located a short walk from city heart so that is it's only plus! Wifi was sporadic and owner didn't care when told. Only 45 min time window allocated for breakfast - not good enough!
