recently stayed at the Boathouse just outside Bath, after reading some not very nice reviews we were a bit weary, But alas all was well, the reception area is not as we expected same for other guests, it was in the entrance to the bar/restaurant. met by a pleasant young lady which upgraded our room to a river view with... We visited on a Sunday. Booked in advance (rang up a few hours before.) My mum & sister are gluten free and the chef, Alex came out to speak to them about the menu and spent around 15 minutes talking to them about their options. The chef even bought out the gluten free meals having promised he would prepare it... More

How wrong can you get a sandwich and a bowl of chips? Bread stale and chips cold. Plates not collected and 45 minute wait for food.. Such a shame as it's such a nice place with views over the river. Seriously needs to have a review of staffing levels as it will honestly lose valuable customers.

We were camping at the near by caravan park so thought we would have a cook breakfast here as it clearly advertises serving breakfast 8 till 11 on a sign we had seen the night before. The staff didn't seem to cope with the fact we weren't staying at the hotel, even though I had said as we arrived. It... More

We had a table booked for evening meal. We were told we could sit anywhere because Pub was not very busy, which we were happy to do. Starters arrived no problems. We then had to wait over 40 minutes for our Main Course, with couples arriving after us, served with their Main course before us, when it arrived it was... More

I called up this pub to book a table for two and was assured that there would be space as it is quite a big place. We arrived and ordered drinks at the bar and took menus to have a look at as we sat in the garden. It was clearly busier than they were expecting but there will still... More

I chose this hotel for the location and then kept my fingers crossed for good weather. I stayed for two nights, my friend for one. On arrival it was quite a long wait to get my room because the young man was also serving behind the bar; helping waiting staff with problems and checking people in. I was quite pleased... More

We stayed here for 2 nights, room was large with a lovely wet room. Large balcony - lovely to sit out on. Staff were friendly and food was lovely, good choice at breakfast. Service in restaurant was a bit slow but was nice when arrived. Park and ride next to Hotel is brilliant, although the 3 times we used it... More

My hubby and I had lunch her three weeks ago - glad we made a reservation as were sat in the conservatory overlooking the river (sadly it was raining). The conservatory is rather cosy which for some may not suit as one cannot help but here others' conversation. Hubby had the Moroccan Lamp cakes for a starter which were rather... More

Room walls and window surrounds dirty and coated with cobwebs. Water flooded floor in bathroom, probably from bath waste, overnight Breakfast was very poor, just warm coffee served twice and had to ask for clean cups. Over 20 mins for order to be taken even though waiter was dealing with our coffee. Seemed that only one person was waiting on... More
