I have stayed at 5 star establishments before, but none were as warm and welcoming as this beautiful country home. I took my girlfriend to stay here for the weekend to celebrate our 5th anniversary. I also planned on asking her to marry me. The hotel was informed of my plans and said leave the room preparations to them and...

Stayed for two nights whilst visiting Bath and the Christmas Market. We booked the 'Garden Suite' which is on the lower ground floor. The bedroom is spacious with a king size double bed and a separate bedroom with a single bed. Tea and coffee facilities are available as well as a well stocked mini bar/fridge . Direct access to the...

Booked the Apsley purely on reading the reviews and wasn't disappointed. Gorgeous house and lovely warm and comfortable rooms. Ours was smallest and on second floor, which with my wonky knees was a bit of a struggle, but worth it as room was comfortable, well appointed and bathroom gorgeous. The manager and his staff were very kind and welcoming and...

In a quiet area about a 15 minute walk to the beautiful city center. At only 12 rooms it's either a deluxe B & B or a deluxe boutique hotel. Either way its lovely. They say it was the one-time residence of the Duke of Wellington's mistress, or one of them. Very attractive outside and in, although free parking is...

The place is lovely, speaks for itself. spent one night with my girlfriend visiting Bath Kate, l believe was the manager and she saw to our every needs, from checking to checkout. Bless her for replacing my tea pot because I much prefer them warm so the cold pot or cup does not take up the heat. Not sure if...

Stayed at Apsley House for second time, and once again really enjoyed our stay. The staff are exteremely welcoming, chatty and helpful, and the room was warm and comfortable. Great breakfasts and a lovely log fire to sit around on a cold evening! Hotel dining room is being re-decorated in January. Will go again!

My wife and I stayed at the Apsley house for 3 nights in November 2016. Kate and Miroslav were wonderful hosts providing suggestions and helping with luggage. The breakfast was a blend of menu and continental bar with fruits and cereals. We had to leave early one morning and they were kind enough to open the kitchen and make us...

Tried this B&B as it was recommended on tripadvisor, and turns out to be a good experience. We stayed at the house with private parking , acccomodating our family of 5-6 pax. Includes laundry, kitchen , private outdoor area, TV etc... everything we need are there. Only down side is no slippers and the bed mattress(master bedroom) seems old.

Lovely stay. Room 2 on first landing is especially nice.Blue and white with 4 poster bed is very spacious and a gorgeous view of the hillside. Very large bathroom has a soaking tub with hand spray for washing your hair and a free standing glass shower. Armoire has no removable hangars so bring shirt/pant hangars if you like to steam...

I found the Apsley House hotel on line where it appeared to be highly recommended. There were not two rooms vacant for the weekend we wanted so I opted to book the coach house which is a self-contained apartment with two bedrooms within the grounds of the hotel. We only met a couple of the staff during our stay, both...
