Large, nicely appointed king room with a beautiful view of garden and city. Comfortable bed. Nice bath and soaking tub. Professional, friendly and courteous service very much concerned with your having an enjoyable stay. Superb breakfast and dietary options available. Parking steps away. This is a small luxury hotel (actually an historic home) that after a harrowing drive from Heathrow... More

We had of course read all the brilliant reviews of Apsley House and it didn't disappoint! Such a beautiful house and gardens, immaculately and tastefully presented with great attention to detail. Fabian and Olaf on Reception were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. We were in Room 6, Salamanca at the top of the house with beautiful... More

The house itself, rooms and common area are absolutely lovely. The lounge/ breakfast area is elegantly furnished with windows overlooking the back gardens with hills in the background. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would happily come back here. A car is pretty much an essential. There are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The core of sight-seeing Bath is... More

We spent 2 nights here in July on our weekend visit to Bath. It's about 30 minutes walk from town and right in a regular bus route so access to town is no problem. Our room was Copenhagen and we loved it. Breakfasts are ace and the guys running the place cannot do enough for you either at breakfast or... More

My wife and I stayed just for the one night and we couldn't fault anything. You get the feeling from the decoration that you're in a private home rather than a hotel, and that's exactly how the wonderful staff treat you. Just outside of the hustle and bustle but close enough for accessing shops and restaurants etc.

I was really blown away by how picturesque this place is. The photos on the website don't do it justice. Tucked away from the main part of Bath in a quiet neighborhood, the back of the hotel looks out onto a garden and the hilly countryside. Get to breakfast early to grab a table near the window. Rooms are spacious,... More

We just returned from a stay at the Apsley House. We highly recommend it. It is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in room 1 which is upstairs and has a view of the garden and the hillside beyond. They serve breakfast in the morning that is delicious and elegantly presented. This is not just a continental breakfast. It is a full... More

When we read the multiple 5-star reviews, we were hoping for a really good hotel. It was SO much better and we'll be back. Fantastic room, great breakfasts, we met some lovely guests and the staff were just great (very friendly, helpful and always smiling). Definitely 5-star!!!

I recently stayed at the Apsley House Hotel with my parents for a long weekend in Bath. The hotel owners were so friendly and accommodating. We were shown to our apartment which was so homely. We had a lovely breakfast hamper with eggs, orange juice, milk, bread, jam, coffee and tea. The hotel was beautiful and quiet with a lovely... More
