This location is great for enjoying the area. It's quiet enough to be restful but so very close to the town's main attractions -- just a short cab ride or a bus that stops practically at the front door. Our host was so gracious and welcoming. One pleasant evening we took advantage of the honor bar and enjoyed a nice... More

Though this is a B&B (you have to let yourself in at night) it rivals a 5-star hotel. Our room was very large and comfortable with lovely amenities. The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The style is very Victorian -- but not oppressively so.The breakfast was the best we had in England. If you arrive by car, it is... More

We had a truly lovely, very "English" experience. A mansion where every (excellent) breakfast we would sit and enjoy sweeping views over the valley. Then in the evening sit and have a drink in the great room. Our room was old world with a comfortable bed, modern bathroom and kept to a very high standard. A special mention to our... More

We were visiting Bath on this occasion for a friend's wedding and booked Apsley House as it was local to the city centre (5min drive/half hour scenic walk through the park). Prior to arrival, I called to see if there was a hairdresser at the hotel and although there wasn't, the lovely gentleman on Reception assured me he'd do some... More

Such a beautiful property with stunning views. Tastefully and sympathetically decorated to a high standard. Huge comfortable bed with full bath and walk in shower. High end toiletries. Breakfast was high quality with a wide choice. Relatively cheap compared to other 5 star properties in the area. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We stayed here for two nights and it was really nice. The guy at the front desk (no idea of his name) was super. The place is more of an old house converted to a hotel but the rooms are spacey and the beds were good. Modern bathrooms as well. They have well stocked fridges and an honesty bar so... More

We had a wonderful time visiting Bath and staying at Apsley House. I was disappointed that one of the two lights on the four poster bed wasn't working and also a lamp shade was broken. That was unacceptable. It would also be nice to see fresh milk offered in the rooms and perhaps a drink on arrival. Breakfast is impeccable... More

We visited Bath and Apsley House for a long weekend and had a lovely time. Apsley House is a wonderful, relaxed place to stay. We had the top floor room overlooking the garden and it was perfect for us. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We walked into Bath City Centre in about 30 minutes through the parks and then... Too far from Bath centre to walk but a nice venue. Staff very service oriented and breakfast was perfect. In the room everything is there including books and magazines. It has a luxuary atmosphere, Nice living room.

Stayed for two nights in August, with our teenage daughter, in the Garden Room. Beautiful room with the most amazing bed. The room is 'below' the garden so you do not get the views you enjoy from the breakfast room or higher in the house, it is also darker but we were aware of that before our stay so that... More
