Long story short, we arrived in a heat wave and boiled to death in our room. The staff was friendly and helpful and found us a better room that was much more comfortable for our second night. It was Bath University's Graduation week, so lots of new grads celebrating their adulthood and puking in the bathroom. Again, staff was awesome... More

Bath YMCA was well-maintained, comfortable, clean, had a good free breakfast, a 24 hour reception (seems rare for Bath), and was in a good location for seeing Bath. However, there were a few things about it that make me hesitant to recommend it. The dorms themselves were overcrowded, with six triple-decker bunks in an 18 bed dorm. They had individual... More

I booked this hostel as a lone traveller for a few days in Bath. Good location, was only a 10 ish min walk from train station and from pretty much all major attractions and shopping (Bath is quite compact). I liked it had a private courtyard and off street entrance. Service was good. Lots of room in common and dining... More

Great hostel, both staff members I came into contact with were very helpful. Room clean, good communal areas, and good clean bathroom\shower facilities. Had to split payment with a colleague and the guy on reception was more than happy to do this. Very affordable and comfortable.

Tucked away in a charming little courtyard slightly uphill of the town centre, you will have a bit of trouble spotting the tiny sign indicating the Y. Once you see the sign, your vacation is perfect. Lovely, kind people at the front desk. Nice lounging area with new friends napping on couches. Secure entry to the dorm rooms. My brother... More

Great location that is very central, rooms are basic but clean - providing everything we needed. We messed up our booking and staff (especially Steve) were super helpful in resolving our mix up. Breakfast included. Would recommend.

This is a regular hostel, usual beds, nice continental breakfast included. Loved the provision of curtains around the beds for privacy. Clean bathroom, plenty of space and lockers provided is really great.

Nothing fancy, very basic accommodation but very convenient budget stay in Bath! Centrally located, safe, clean, friendly staff. Travelled with my family, 3 of us, stayed in a triple room, small but still comfortable. Free wifi, free breakfast included, basic breakfast cereal, fruit, coffee, chocolate, milk, yogurt, but enough to get you started. And there is a car park just... More

Bath’s points of interest and attractions are pretty packed, so having the accommodation in the middle of all of them makes the visit even easier. The quality of the rest of features that offers this hostel is average, with no particular outstanding item. However, a few things to highlight are the breakfast and the beds. In the first case, just... More

Didn't look like much from the pictures but we were pleasantly surprised! Had a private double room with a nice view out back of a rooftop with flowers growing on it and surrounding historical buildings. It had a great location close to pubs and the bridge. Good security with needing a key fob to be let in.

Our new and improved rooms will deliver a high standard comfortable hostel room for 2010. The YMCA is centrally located, just a stones throw away from all the major tourist attractions, tempting shops, sensational restaurants, Bath Rugby, pubs, clubs and award winning parks. If you want to be in the middle of it, then the YMCA is the location for you. The old Victorian building is at least 130 years old and overlooks the bustling Broad Street. It houses our dormitory accommodation for groups, backpackers and holiday makers. It also boasts a rather unusual mural on the grand main staircase. All guests have access to single sex bathroom facilities throughout the range of accommodation and all areas have secure access, ensuring your safety at all times. Staff on the 24 hour reception are nearly all locals who know Bath inside out. So we can help you plan your stay, organise and book tours or recommend a place to eat or visit. We will let you know what's on, where's in and what to avoid and what's unmissable in Bath. Guests at the YMCA also benefit from access to our fantastic health and fitness centre, with a great gym, a wicked range of classes for those of you who want to sweat, tone or relax, sauna, sunbeds and the friendliest gym staff you are ever likely to meet. So, if you are travelling but want to maintain your fitness program or just chill out in the sauna - we're the place for you. If you are travelling in a big group we can also offer conference facilities/meeting rooms further catering etc - just ask and we will do our best to deliver! We can accommodate over 200 people a night, so whether you are travelling alone or in a big group, old, young or with children - we have the bed for you.
