Situated between Bristol and Bath this quaint pub offered delicious food and a warm welcome. Open fires and wooden beams enhanced our well cooked meals and attentive service. Our rather complex dietary requirements were thoughtfully catered for and the menu was balanced and alluring. We'll be coming back! Many thanks!

Having passed this place by dozens of times over the years, we finally stopped by today. A cosy, rustic, country pub, the staff and locals were very welcoming, as was the roaring fire. Decent real ales a day ciders were on offer too. The food menu looked great, though we didn't have a chance to sample.

Driving out of Bath on the Kelston Road, we were looking for a place to stop for a quick lunch and discovered the Old Crown. We were welcomed from a grey day into the warming atmosphere of connecting bars each with a lovely log fire. We were given an excellent choice of menus, our lunch order was taken immediately and... It seems that it is trying to be a "gastro pub" which is more suitable to a town centre rather than a country pub. The food and drink is expensive for what you get. The "cow pie" is what it says - pie. If you want veg or potatoes/chips it is extra. A bit disappointing!

My adult family of 3 enjoyed delicious food at this extremely convenient restaurant down the road from the b&b where we stayed. It was casual and comfortable for family or couples. We were left to enjoy our meal without unneeded interruptions, able to stay and chat for as long as we like.

The Old Crown is a pub in the hamlet of Keston about 5 miles west of Bath on the Bath Road. The pub had just had a change of management so not everything worked smoothly. However, the manager and staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed 2 nights and the room was excellent value for money. Breakfast was very good and... More

Lovely evening meal, gorgeous summer's evening in the garden. Room very cosy and comfortable, clean, tidy and tea/coffee & TV! Breafast was good and eggs poached to perfection. Breakfast served between 8-10am. Plenty of free parking opposite the pub which is great. Hospitality was excellent and would stay again. Thank you ***

We stopped here 6th feb'15. Arrived lunchtime. We were welcomed by a young girl who showed us to the building next door where our room was. Only problem was th room was that floorboards were very noisy from those sleeping upstairs and the shower hadn't been cleaned properly. But me and fiancée had no problem with this really after a... Having stopped for lunch I would not recommend this pub to anyone. It's cold and not very clean bar staff umfreindly and no customer skills. Lady showing no dress sense. Appeared tobe working under sufferance. With a bad attitude towards her customers.
