Ideally situated just across the road from the station but we were not aware of any noise from trains in our room. Easy access to everywhere we wanted to go in Bath. Comfortable bed, warm room. Good breakfast and dinner. Cheese selection very good but as I always choose creme brûlée I was disappointed at the small portion, a tendency...

This is a really lovely hotel which makes you want to return. The location, nicely appointed rooms and excellent dining (try the sirloin steak!) and breakfast made our little trip to Bath a really enjoyable one despite storm Doris trying to ruin it. The staff, from the reception to the dining room were so pleasant and helpful, added to our...

My husband and I booked for one night. We had a voucher deal with wowcher, one night stay with 3 course dinner champagne, cream tea, and breakfast. We stayed in room 306, with all amenities, iron board, trouser press, complementary fruit bowl and bottle of water in room. Comfy bed looking out on to offices but quiet. Staff were very...

Everything was superb. Friendly and attentive staff. Fantastic food. Great location. Spotlessly clean. I was here to celebrate my 50th birthday and had a gorgeous meal in the hotel there really is no need to leave hotel to look for places to eat. The menu is extensive.

We stayed here on a dinner B&B package. There limited parking charges at £8 per day but very handy especially in city centre location. Staff were great, very welcoming and friendly. Paid for a room upgrade to a suite, room was decorated very grandly with chandeliers and flick wallpaper but still retaining the original character. Room was very warm and...

Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed our award winning breakfast apart from the fact that you felt the portions could be larger which, with respect, came as a surprise as we invariably get compliments about how generous our portions are. I was equally surprised to read that you felt that the a la carte menu...

I stayed with my boyfriend for a couple of nights. We really enjoyed it. We found the rooms so comfy and although the decor maybe seen as a little outdated I found there was a homely feel to it. The bed was comfy and the bathroom was lovely too. My favourite thing was actually the location of the place. It...

My partner and I decided to visit Bath as a Valentines Day treat. We stayed at the Royal Hotel on the 13th February and left on the 14th. It was a delight from the start to the finish. You can check-in at any time after 14:30 and check out has to be before 11:00. The receptionist at the desk was...

I booked this hotel via an offer with Wowcher. 2 nights for 2 people, dinner, bed and breakfast with a glass of champagne on both nights and a cream tea on arrival for £249 - bargain! Whilst the hotel is not decorated in a modern way, it's designer Isambard Brunel created this building very tasteful and spacious. We arrived on...

Many thanks for your review following you stay with us. I am delighted that you found the offer “a bargain” and in particular enjoyed our award winning breakfast. I can only re-iterate what the reviews on the first two pages already state. A great warm and cosy hotel with very welcoming staff.. We were two couples on a 'Travelzoo deal' which was excellent value and we were NOT treated as the 'cheap and cheerfuls'. We even had two rooms next to each other (without requesting this). We were...

Thank you for your review and awarding us 5 stars. I regret that on this occasion you found the shower pressure low and we have now dealt with this issue. Last but not least I am delighted to note that you would stay with us again and I look forward to that. Mike MacDermid General Manager
