Stayed for 2 nights and the staff were all very accommodating. The rooms were clean and tidy. The hotel was in a good location. Dinner was included and lovely. Breakfast was good. We had a cream tea and again the Scones were lovely. Lots of positive Covid measures in place. We only encountered one problem which was a lady behind the bar not wearing a mask. A comment was then made by a guest about the lack of mask, to which the lady replied I am the owners wife I can do what I want. The tone was Very unprofessional and quite frankly rude. Further concerning that someone feels they are above all others to be able to walk around the establishment without a mask whilst Covid is still very much apart of our lives.

Just returned from a 3 night stay in the Royal. Our second visit and it didn’t let us down. What a lovely hotel spotlessly clean and comfortable with such a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are all so kind and helpful especially the reception staff . We particularly enjoyed the food especially the breakfasts which had something for everyone. Particularly appreciated as I’m vegetarian and there was always something different for me. We had room 101 which altho small had all we needed. Many thanks to you all . Maz

Had a lovely stay in this hotel over the half term. The staff were excellent and the food was simply delicious.Amazing value for money as a special deal (£70 a night)had a la Carte three course evening meal with champagne each night. The beds were very comfortable and we had the luxury of real coffee in our rooms with delicious biscuits. The only slight problem was the busy road outside but fortunately I had my earplugs in my wash bag!

Thank you for your review and your lovely compliments . I regret that you found the noise from the road a little disturbing in spite fo our secondary glazing . Although we are a city centre hotel our guests are rarely disturbed by road noise and certainly not after say 11pm. As you had such a lovely stay with us I do hope that you will plan another visit to The Royal and on this occasion please ask for a room at the rear of the hotel , as these rooms do not face the road, and therefore you will not require to use your ear plugs ! We look forward to seeeing you again . Kind regards Mike

Such a very special place, the history in this hotel was subtle and stylish. The staff were friendly and competent at all their jobs making us feel valued at all times. Our room was very atmospheric huge windows and 4 poster felt like a princess. Food was French bistro which I love plus polenta gluten free cake so yummy. Breakfasts were hot and tasty.... please dont change, you made Bath so memorable... the decor made it for me, so unusual to get tasteful Victorian hotels now...
