Travelers' Choice
Nestled within four acres of mature award-winning gardens and spacious terraces, The Bath Priory sets itself apart as a peaceful haven in a bustling city. The Georgian house of honey-coloured Bath stone enjoys a tranquil location just a short walk through Royal Victoria Park to Bath’s city centre. The award-winning spa has a selection of luxurious treatments, an indoor pool, pool-side sauna, elliptical steam pod and shower. From the moment you enter The Garden Spa by L’OCCITANE, fragrances transport you to Provence; the escape begins with scent. Every gesture, every ingredient, every ritual is drawn from a page of the L’OCCITANE grand herbarium, a resource of hundreds of essential oils and natural ingredients. Steeped in Roman history, the city of Bath is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Roman Baths, Pump Rooms and Theatre Royal are noteworthy highlights alongside the city’s architectural merits including the Royal Crescent and The Circus.

Me and my girlfriend went in Bath for a little getaway. The property went above my expectations. Starting from the location, the historic building and the immense garden, the staff really helpful, friendly and professional, the Spa facilities such as the pool etc. and the treatments we had included in our package who left us very happy and satisfied. Definitely looking forward to come back and hopefully for longer.

We recently took advantage of a one night dinner bed and breakfast &spa package for autumn at the hotel. We had an excellent stay. The room was clean and looked out over the grounds at the back of the hotel. The menu for dinner provided ample choices , and the food was delicious. The service was pleasant and we had no long waits for any course. Spa was amazing, facilities very clean and the service was great. We had everything we needed for a relaxed spa day. I would recommend The Bath Priory for a spa break.

We are repeat guests and love the hotel for the rooms, gardens and super food in the restaurant for dinner; the food deserves a Michelin star! All the staff from Reception to Spa and Restaurant are professional and welcoming.

Historic building beautifully restored. Staff helpful, good humoured and courteous. Exquisite garden. Rooms are luxurious and beautifully appointed. Breakfast and evening meal were of the highest standard and quality. Paintings throughout give the entire property a homely and relaxing atmosphere. What more can we say? Pay the Priory a visit and you won't be disappointed.

The Priory is good in many ways but lacks some upto date facilities in rooms. One of the more expensive hotels in the area . Breakfasts of a good standard but chiefs need to be consistent with the quality served each morning.

Everyone at The Priory was eager to ensure we had a good stay. We were fortunate to have an upgrade to our room and had a small balcony overlooking the gardens. Our meal was delicious with top notch service. The restaurant is formal, yet relaxed. The food beautifully presented. The amuse bouches were the most clever I'd ever seen - two different items presented in unexpected ways. Very nice experience at the Spa. The grounds are absolutely lovely. Enjoyed the walk into town through the park. We booked one of their offers and felt that we got a lot for our money.

Myself and partner have just arrived home after staying here for one night. The place is stunning throughout, service is first class, the gardens are beautiful, rooms cosy, fine dining was excellent. We didn't use the swimming pool or spa so can't comment on those. Would love to have stayed longer but couldn't because of work commitments. Would I come I back? Probably not but that's more of the fact we enjoy trying new places. I would ignore any bad reviews on here, if you book you won't be disappointed.

I was so disappointed in this hotel. We are big fans of Relais & Chateaux properties and sadly do not feel this hotel, or at least our room in this hotel, meets the standards. It is in desperate need of a refresh. For 400 (Pounds) per nite we slept in the attic room -- had to be very careful not to bang our heads -- this would have been great fun at age 10, but at our age, having to descend steps to our suitcases was not ideal. The shower was moldy, the toilet seat poorly installed and misaligned and the upholstery on the chairs was grungy looking. Other parts of the hotel felt like they need to be refreshed -- dusty/dirty baseboards... The strawberries I ordered were not in our room or mentioned on arrival -- we cancelled them from our order. The evening reception clerk was lovely and very helpful. The morning people were not terribly friendly and no one bothered to ask how our stay was. Also while technically in Bath this is quite a hike from city central -- next time I will choose a more central location.

From the moment we checked in, the staff was welcoming and aimed to please. Our room was lovely, stocked with cookies, an ample selection of teas and overlooked the grounds below. Didn't have time to try the spa but did a quick walk through, there's an indoor and outdoor pool, both appeared pristine and inviting. Because it was a quick overnight and we were scheduled to leave very early, they offered and packed us a delicious box breakfast for the road. Lots of beautiful rooms and sitting spaces and a lovely 15 minute walk into town.
